4.5 a really good hard hitting emotional romance . This starts taboo but is mostly dealing with mental health. I love these characters so much they belong together.

Will definitely be reading the cowboy boys spinoff

All of the emotions were so well written. Ashley James is always a one click buy and this one is a must listen. I absolutely love this couple. Emotional!! but, the HEA is so worth all the pain. It's heart breaking, heart warming and heart healing. the narration is so Outstanding. the right narrator was definitely picked to voice the right character. forget about having a pause button. I listened straight through the night.👏🔥❤

For fans of Ashley James, you'll LOVE this story of forbidden romance. Teddy Hamilton and Aaron Shedlock are amazing as friends to lovers trying to overcome religious trauma and live their authentic lives. This slow burn and angsty story will grip you and when it delivers it steams FULL FORCE AHEAD and it's hot, hot, hot 🥵🥵🥵 Listening to these two bruting men made me wild and had me rooting for them until the very end. It's a beautiful story of discovering who you are, figuring out where and who you belong with and recognizing the feelings from the past are true and real. TW's include religious trauma, attempted suicide, drug use and death. Ashley James has a gift for writing beautiful MM romance stories that are complicated and layered but in the end, the MC'S realize loving someone and accepting love is what's most important!

Such an emotional rollercoaster, but oh so good! I love a book that can warm your heart but also being you to tears. Ashley James kills it! Loved the glimpse of Copper Lake too! Narration was great as well!
