Publisher's Summary

Vacation goals...

I have them. Real life is not cooperating.

I don't require poolside margaritas under a fancy cabana to have a good time. All I wanted was 10 ghost-free days to enjoy sightseeing New Orleans with my boyfriend, to admire art galleries, listen to live music, and eat as many beignets as I can before my pants stop buttoning.

I might as well have asked Santa for a unicorn.

Within 36 hours of setting foot in the Big Easy, an ancient ghost warns me of a murderous spirit lurking in the city, a strip-mall psychic tells me I look pregnant (I blame the beignets), and oh yeah, a dead body shows up on the set of my boyfriend's TV show and he lands himself at the top of the suspect list.

If this is karma, I must have been an ax murderer in a previous life.

New Ghosts, Friends, & Location, Great 3rd Story

We return to find our florist ghost whisperer, Scarlet, going on vacation to New Orleans where her boyfriend Lucas is working on a new reno. It isn't long before we find some conflict tension and a murder putting Lucas in the cross fire and causing Scarlet to scout out new magic and engage her old ghost friends to help her solve the mystery. The story is light, the romance between Scarlet and Lucas feels realistic but never delves into steamy romance territory, and the violence is always discussed after the fact with no gory details. The mystery unfolded at a good pace and although not one that I think the audience could figure out it was entertaining to just follow along and discover. I continue to love the dynamics between Scarlet's three ghost friends, and Scarlet also receives the help of a few more folks while in New Orleans both the human and afterlife variety. We also get to learn more about Scarlet's magic in this volume. I am completely drawn into the story and know fans of the first two volumes will be pleased. I look forward to the next chapter of Scarlet's story.

Good

I have listened to the other two books & this one is much the same. With respect, it's too much the same. This time, I knew the outcome way before I should've. It was cute.

Trouble for Lucas!

When trouble finds it was to Lucas, Scarlett must save him. At first I was sad thinking the “ghostly “ friends wouldn’t be included in the book but was relieved to find even more humor and mystery with all the ghosts (new and old) that showed up. Another good book to listen to that will keep you laughing!

This is the best so far

I enjoyed this book better than the first two. Why? I think the concept has grown on me and Scarlet and her ghost friends are more likeable. I suspect Scarlet is not finished with New Orleans after she connected with a terrible spirit there. I can’t say more for fear of spoiling something. Great narrator too.

Good distraction

Following the series, this one took you away from the usual setting making it not so predictable. Characters are forming the own personalities making the backstory interesting.
Great distraction from your day with mystery, witt and some moments of laughter tied together. Looking forward to the next book....downloading now....
