Loving this series

If you could sum up Visions of Heat in three words, what would they be?

Great Paranormal Romance

Who was your favorite character and why?

Faith - foresight is always interesting, and I liked how it humanized her.

Did Angela Dawe do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

Eh. She does an okay job, just all the characters of similar types sound alike. Vaughn kinda sounds like Lucas, Faith kinda sounds like Sasha, etc. There are no accents to speak of, which may be what Ms. Singh envisioned, but it makes for less than noteworthy narration.

Any additional comments?

This was a great follow-up to Book 1. Although the 2 main characters are similar to Book 1, I think it was a good strategy to allow further development of the psy-changeling world without getting too complicated for a second installment. I was totally sucked in and power-listened, and even downloaded Book 3 before I finished listening to this one I enjoyed it so much!

I loved this second book in this interesting series. There are so many different things going on that keeps me wondering what will be next.

Enjoyed Faith. I enjoyed her strength. Love the changes coming in this series. These are beyond steamy. I wish I could cut out the chapters of explicit detailed sex.

One of my faves

One of my fave stories in this series. First time trying the audio book version. And I like it. It’s different in a good way. The narrator is good. I’m generally able to distinguish who is talking.
Need more credits to do the whole series now.

This is book 2....while I would have preferred more hot scenes the chemistry was scorching! This series is worth getting into, imagine a world populated by humans, changelings (think shifters), and the Psy....an emotionless species that is gifted mentally with things from predictions to telekinesis, to being capable of crippling an opponent with their minds....in order to eliminate violence from their lives they have purposely removed emotions from themselves through training from birth....but the system is flawed!

I look at it this way...there are 11 books and all have a rating above 4. If its your kind of thing go ahead and start the series!

Loved this book!! Love Vaughn!! Loved Faith!! Just plain loved! I have yet to pick up a Nalini Singh story and not totally be in love. Nalini is such an amazing storyteller and Angela Dawe brings the characters to life. This girl has a knack for voices!! It is amazing. And as always I love when I feel like I am in the story not just being read to. Angela does that. I never feel that she is just reading the works. I feel like I am right there with the characters.

If you are thinking about a book to read or listen too I would HIGHLY suggest picking up a copy of Vision of Heat, but if you have not read book 1 Slave to Sensation I would start there

Yes, and I did. Book 3 in the series makes a come-back.

If you’ve listened to books by Nalini Singh before, how does this one compare?

Her first book was refreshingly for the romance genre. But her 2nd book fell into the old romance formula cliche of the independent-yet-helpless female meets dominant male. Her over-use and occasionally mis-use of the word "fury" was laughable. But I liked book 1 enough to read book 3 anyway and it did make a come-back.

Have you listened to any of Angela Dawe’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

She does the range of male and female voices very well.

What would have made this romance irresistible?

Great world.

This book is so intense

this series is so intense and has to do engulfed, keeps you absolutely captivated and the narration brings it so alive.

Again, I’ve owned this ebook and audiobook for several years now, and I’ve come to realize that one of the best ways to show my appreciation for the author is to post a review.
And how great is it that 16 of 20 books in this series are available through Audible’s Romance Club Membership? (At the time of my review)

An Excellent Addition to the Psy/Changeling Series

Visions of Heat is an excellent addition to the Psy/Changeling series. The story is a true page turner. Vaughn and Faith's relationship is wonderful and believable. Angela Dawe does an awesome job narrating their story.
