Angela Dawe & Nalini Singh...

Nalini Singh is by far one of the best authors I've read. Adding Dawe's voice completely brings the story alive and vivid. Audible books can have a Major drawback OR the best possible performances, adding an additional layer to a wonderfully written story.
A wonderfully written story may in fact lose"face" with the wrong narrator. I have also come to believe that even a good narrator, reading a book, yet does not 'understand' the story will not deliver the best potentials they can offer.
This is not and has never been the case with this author-narrator pairing. I hope these pairings continue, turning Audible into it's truest art form. Thank you for the countless hours of wonderful distractions!

The next chapter in this series is perfect

Because she is Silver f***ing Mercant - I loved that!!! This newest addition was absolutely brilliant. Valentin was her perfect mate. She has a major backbone & can give as good as she gets. In previous books she appeared meek & that is so not true. I know this book just came out (and very glad that the audio was released at the same time as the e-book) but I need the next book in the series.

Wow, just wow. The best to date!

If a volcano met, fell in love and mated a glacier, this would be the story their people told of the event. Nalini Singh's brilliance in storytelling is fulfilled, complemented, by Angela Dawes incredible narration. The story of a tormented and conniving Changling alpha bear who pursues the extraordinary, wildly intelligent but icy Psi, Silver Mercant, is fast a moving and very complex. Following the threads of the story will give you the read of the decade, or more. Although this story is best when read in the context of the rest of the Psi/Changling/Human series and the new sub series, Trinity, it can be read alone, too. But that is like eating only the crust of an excellent pie! Don't cheat yourself. Read them all!!

Loved it!

One of my favorite characters yet was Valentin! His voice was amazing. I completely enjoyed this book and can't wait for the 2nd in the series!!!

I love the characters in this book, the humor, the camaraderie , the back story. I think I would date a bear.

Pretty interesting

So this is the first book I’ve listened to by Nalini Singh and maybe that was my problem. It’s the 16th book in a series but the fist of a trilogy, I thought I would be fine starting the first book of the trilogy..... not so much. There is so much information you need to remember and it can be quite confusing. Overall the story was pretty good and entertaining, I would recommend it just maybe not as the first book you listen to.

I have loved this series since I found it by accident along with the Guild Hunter series. Some of the books in the series were "good" but for me 90% keep me coming back to either read or listen to. Silver Silence is now my #1 with Heart of Obsidian as #2.......Thank you Nalini!

Absolute favorite of the series..

Out of all the books in the series, even the latest one after this, this one is my favorite for so many reasons.

This book was decent, but it wasn't inspiring, and I probably won't be rereading it.
