Highly respected special operations leader

Kyle Lamb is a very well respected member of the United States special operations community. He is sharing invaluable lessons learned from an incredible career.

Nail on the head.

This book hit on so many topics that my Sergeant and I talk about on a regular basis. So many of the topics discussed in this book, are ones that need to be implemented by the majority, but unfortunately are only understood buy a small percentage. Fantastic book, have already shared this with others!

One of the best practical guides to leadership out there. Clearly written by a great leader himself. Cannot reccomend enough.

I’ll throw this one right there next to Leadership Strategy & Tactics by Jocko Willink as absolutely necessary reading. Read, share it, act it, and watch everything change for good.

A must read for leadership principles

I've always had a like warm feeling about Kyle Lamb. I respected him for his accolades but really didn't know much else about him. He definitely leads from the shadows and maintains a rather private life. After listening to this book, I'm a big fan. This book is an easy read (or listen as it were) broken down into several small chapters. Each chapter is packed with valuable insight for leadership and this is probably a book is recommend re-reading from time to time. My only quibble is that CSM Lamb at times shows opinions that are slightly unfounded or outside of his area of expertise or things he's gathered superficially. One example is his insistence that 'tenure' has ruined public education. While I'm not a fan of tenure there are a lot of other existing issues that have been responsible for problems in public Ed. I was also slightly annoyed with his use of "brief back" repeatedly for a concept that we use in the military called "back briefing". Minor quibbles aside, this man knows leadership and has something to offer anyone interested in leading.

Great insight

Kyle has been there and done that. He’s seen the good and the bad. He’s learned through his own leadership journey, with a little bit of trial and error and given some spectacular insight in what it means to be a leader. Well done!

Must read

This book is a must read! It will help any leader. I have read it 3 times now and learn more every time time. I plan on reading it several more times. I have implemented his teachings and you know what.....it works! I am a better leader thanks to Kyle and his book!
