Let me just say Dawn got on my last nerve like lady u know what he is about either you are with it or your not but the back and forth n round n round got tiresome… also did not think 3 books were need started losing interest in the third book of Victor

This series is phenomenal!

The narrators voices are soothing and work well together. Victor and Dawn's story is long journey but worth the time Theodora took to tell their story.
It begins when they are in high school and spans 15 /16 years of the characters lives. We also get a sneak peak of several characters stories.

TOXIC AND AMAZING!!!!!

This trilogy was amazing! I couldn’t stop listening too it! It was NOT predictable AT ALL! That’s what I loved most about it. The characters was amazing. I love the multicultural aspect to it! Such a great series! But beware when reading lt, it will take you and an amazing emotional roller coaster! Now on to the next book in the ruthless series!

I'm so sad

I am a Theodora Taylor fan. I have thoroughly enjoyed every book I've read or listened to. However, this is the first time I've not liked the FMC. I read this trilogy a few years back. I was on the fence about Dawn. The narrator for this one made me dislike her. I found her interpretation of Dawn to be a bit whiny, immature, and even condescending. She sounded like she thought the entire story was a waste of her time. This was extremely difficult to listen to, and I rarely have that experience. This is a difficult review to leave because I don't like to critique something that I can't do. I offer this on hopes that all performers will take the audience experience to heart.

I love a book that tells a great story that includes some steamy parts. I was rooting for them.

Not to much to dislike about the story. Love the way everything connects with other books in the series. Great characters and great voice narrating, and a wonderful Author. So hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

A little too long.

Story a little too long. enjoy the first book. the last two books was ok.

Great story overall

Right off the bat: I loved book one and book 2. But, book 3 left me feeling a little confused. Consuming this book as an audiobook, it can be confusing when suddenly, book 3 is about all of these other characters, and their points of view, when we only had two POV’s for the first two.

I enjoyed the performances of the narrators. Although I will admit to looking up the female narrator to see if she was black. Yes, that is important to me when the main character is a black woman. However, on the production side, whenever there were punched in lines , they sounded fuzzy and different from the rest of the narration.

Overall, I definitely enjoyed this trilogy. The SPICE was definitely on high in this series. And I love the fact that there was an interracial couple that dealt with different types of marginalized groups of people.
