When a closer investigation reveals it was murder, Katie is catapulted into an off-the-books investigation that leads her down a dark path of past secrets. But someone is willing to kill to keep part of the town's history in the shadows, and Katie must race to find out who before it's too late.

Not terrible

Some twists but not believable. Dr turned detective and a bad one at that. Not terrible. Curiosity barely Held my interest … almost stopped listening a couple times. I really wanted the story line to get better.

Great Book

The story of this book was engaging and challenging. I love books that I don't figure out before the end. The narration was fantastic.

Nosy

I generally like small town stories with twists, but this comes across as a nosy doctor who obviously has to much time on her hands. I downloaded 3 books in the series and#2 is nosy as well...

Fair little murder mystery, which I listened to until the end, however too many underdeveloped, one dimensional characters.

That I’ve read. It was really good. I found myself trying to get away from everyone so I can keep listening. I really liked Amanda Dolans performance

i wasn't bored!

I liked the narrator because she sounded real! The story line kept me wanting to keep going! Surprise ending!

Mental gymnastics

I loved this book. I had to stay on top of all of the characters and keep track of their relation to each other. It was wonderful. Great character building by the author.
