Publisher's Summary

From bestselling author Susan Stoker comes a sizzling new series about four former military operatives who rid the world of the worst of humanity while fighting to protect the best part of their lives: the women they love.

Former military operative Carson "Bull" Rhodes hasn't dated seriously since he and his teammates left the army. Since then he's opened Silverstone Towing - which is a front for his other job: hired killer. When kindergarten teacher Skylar Reid calls for help while stranded on the side of the interstate, the attraction is instant. The problem is Bull's career has jaded him. Skylar's innocent, and he wants to keep her that way.

Cautious by nature, Skylar never expected to fall in love with her tow truck driver. Even so, once Bull reveals what he really does for a living, she's not sure she can handle it. When Skylar faces threats that have nothing to do with Bull's job but are just as deadly, the stakes are higher than ever.

With the help of the Silverstone team, Bull will use everything he's learned over the years to bring the woman he loves home - because the alternative is unthinkable.

You will LOVE the men of Silverstone Towing

5yrs ago an elite Delta team was disbanded because they killed an HWT without authorization. Instead of being split up, the team accepted an FBI offer to perform black ops...and so, Silverstone Towing was born. A legitimate business as a cover for highly skilled mercenaries. This is book one and is the story of team leader, Bullseye aka Bull, meeting his forever girl on the side of the road. It is a quick story with romance and bad guys...perfect combo. Looking forward to the next book!

Narration was Aweful!!!

I am a HUGE fan of Susan Stoker's work and have read and/or listened to everything out there. I was so excited for this one to be released. While the story is great, I really wish I had bought the book to read myself instead of the audible version. (which I will be buying) At times I felt like I was listening to a computer generated voice reading an instruction manual. PLEASE bring back Stella Bloom or Savannah Peachwood to narrate the other books in this series!!!

Terrible Narrator!!

I had to return it. Could barely make it 2 hours into the book! I love Susan Stoker, and have never NEVER returned her books, but this narration was so terrible I just couldn't handle any more! She made the men sound like Bullwinkle from Rocky & Bullwinkle... Just terrible, I'm sorry! Ugh!

daily dose of shame

I don't need the lecture about white privilege in a romance novel. Save your political bias for the dinner table.
I get enough in the news.
The narration was disjointed. but the voice was pleasant.
The story was very very slow and lacked real substance for 8 of the 10 hours.
I get it, she is an innocent kindergarten teacher, 5000x's...

Wonderful narration, great start to a new series

I really love this author’s brand of romantic suspense. Trusting Skylar is the first book in a new series and the guys of Silverstone are worth getting to know. Skylar is naive but not helpless. She is sweet but strong and the best partner to help Bull open up and trust.
I loved being able to listen to the wonderful narration of the audiobook and switch to ebook and back without losing my place, all through the kindle unlimited program.
