Publisher's Summary

Belinda Baker and I were not made for each other.

We are not soul mates, or lovers, or even frenemies. She is the one who needed to get away.

What we had together wasn’t blind love, it was sick rage. We were a match made in hell, it was hate at first sight, and when she walked away from me and never looked back - it was a relief.

It was bliss.

So why did I travel 2,000 miles so I could be near her? Why can’t I stop thinking about this girl I never want to see again?

Why. Am I. Here?

And what do I have to do to make her disappear for good?

Includes a special bonus note from the author.

Tony features two girls falling for the wrong men, two men falling for the right girl, and a family of tatted-up brothers in a town filled with secrets and danger. It’s a story of earned chances and first dates...and of coming to terms with the past to find a way to move forward. It is book six in the Bossy Brothers series.

OH YOU’RE GOOD JULIE.. & YOU WOWED ME WITH THIS

Don’t go into this uniquely different romance without preparing to be love-challenged.. because, as fans of romance, hero A should fit with heroine B even if they don’t see it or if it takes a rollercoaster challenging ride for them to get to their HEA. But, in this story, when characters C and D start to confuse the anticipated plot-line with their feelings for A and B.. well, I’ll be totally honest, it takes a wee while for the ‘love-swerve’ to settle in my heart. However, with this gifted author’s talents and passion-proclaimed paragraphs, well she slowly swayed me in a uniquely new and beautiful direction.. and it was the right direction all along. And I shouldn’t have doubted her vision.. or jumped to the assumption of an enemies-to-lovers plot - because that’s far off base. I should’ve realized that hate fks weren’t anything more than that.. however they were covering a magnitude of blame and pain. It also took me a wee while to see that C and D weren't just inconsequential secondary character - yup, I was way off there too.. they were the crucial key to everyone’s HEA’s. So two love stories.. two stark awakenings with a heavy dose of reality checks and character growths.. and sex, passion, love, hate, attraction, rejection, scars of the past and hopes of the future tangled hearts for a while. However, true love does prevail because the right decisions were finally made. There was also carried-over and ongoing drama with the sinister plot regarding the all-powerful Company, the odd witness protection programme, the FBI and others. Great dual POV narration of course by Emma and Jason (.. love you Jason) because they brought the characters, their conflicted confused emotions, the heat and heartache and the entire story to life. They enable you to picture the scenes, feel the tempest and train wreck brewing, feel the highs and the heartstopping realizations and find peace along with the characters when all the dust between them settles. WORTH A CREDIT? YES, it was a brave and bold move Julie and I’ll admit you had me teetering on the edge there for a while.. but boy you sure pulled a compelling 5 star book out of the crazy pushing and pulling of the ‘expected’ romance route. You totally threw me off-course and I was emotionally adrift for a few chapters, but then ‘click’ I felt the rightness of both relationships and it was plain sailing after that. PS I love your insightful EOBS too.

Not your typical HEA...

This is a book about Tony who hates Belinda. Oh, the feeling is mutual. Is this a hate to love ❤ book? ummmm... no! So now what?

The narration is perfect by Jason Clarke. However, I didn't care for Emma Wilder's voice. It fluctuated too much with emphasis at the wrong place in a sentence. She is like the female voice version of William Shatner.

The story line is good. Definitely grips you. Makes you wonder all the way to the end.

Enjoy!!

Way to pull a rabbit out of a hat!

The word ‘unexpected’ is stuck in my head. All through the story I felt like I was on a journey that kept changing directions. With each new turn, it felt right. It’s not like one of those mazes that keeps you having to retrace your steps, but it’s definitely maze-like in that you can’t see what ahead and you’re not sure you’re going the right way. Then BAM, the last 30 minutes or so blows you right out if the water! You emerge from the maze and guess what you’re facing… Never mind, you’ll never guess. Brilliant Julie!
Emma Wilder and Jason Clarke were the perfect choice of narrators for these characters. They brought all the right feels to the story and made the characters seem relatable.

Not what I have come to expect Julie

Usually not so repetitive with words. How many times can the word guffaw be used in a book? it was annoying at the beginning of the book but then it kept going on.

Amazing

I 1000000% enjoyed the unorthodox tone of this book! I am an avid reader/listener and this is the first where the main characters storyline didn't end the way I expected! Thank u JA for a truly enjoyable read. xoxo

Love, Love, LOVE the twist!

I have started and stopped so many formulaic romance books lately that the twist I this book was refreshing! JA Huss always has a psychological twist, but this is a true romance change. And I want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

5 stars all the way

Loved this. I lovedcthat the world of neatly tied relationships, in that so and so must end up with..etc. You get me. It threw in a curve ball which I thoroughly enjoyed and having 4 characters explored and developed was so much fun. Add in a smallish dollop of the conspiratorial background and I am putty in Ms Huss' very capable hands. As for narration. Basically, it is superb. Both narrators are brilliant at capturingale and female voices, are expressive, have lively voices to listen to and are so amazingly talented that they cemented my fantom with each audio. Fabulous 💖💖💖💖💖🖤💜

Riveting storyline

These characters are fascinating. How Julie Huss can make you care about them is staggering she’s that good a writer. Respect! This book ended too soon, there is no greater complement. I can’t wait to get the next in series. Thank you for making lock down bearable, these stories save me.

Different but defiantly in a great way

Tony’s book was a complete curve ball. Not the typical romance that you will come across. With no spoilers let’s just say that to me it felt more real like what actually would happen sometimes it’s ok to let go of the past make peace with it and move on. I actually loved the fact that it was so real, love can get so messed up. As usual Julie surprises you at every turn and with it being wrote the way it’s like a breath of fresh air.

Not my favourite

I’m a huge fan of the Bossy Brothers, and I love the authors writing, normally, but Tony just didn’t do it for me. There was no clear cut relationship to begin with. Don’t expect a sweet love story. You won’t get one. It took me a while to get on board with the turn of events. Not how I was originally planning it. The characters were highly selfish and I wasn’t sure if I even liked any of them during the first half of the story. I hated one half of the characters, and loved the other half (at times). However, there was an eye opening revelation at the end that wowed me. The story might not have been perfect, but the narration very definitely was thanks to Jason Clarke and Emma Wilder.

Another 5* This series ♥️♥️♥️

I think I repeat myself with the whole series but DAMMMNNN!! This book was not what I expected it to be, but I did really enjoy it. I have just one thing to say YOU MUST READ THE WHOLE SERIES! I’m feeling more involved in each book and need to know what the hell is going on 😂 I started to ask myself if I was falling for those characters or the auteur herself 😂 5* without any hesitation and the Narrators in the audiobook, I love them both, again 5* for them 😍
