Publisher's Summary

In 1944 London, Anne Billings is off to meet Ken, a dashing American bomber pilot, when she and her four-year-old son, Tommy, get caught in an air raid.

Anne clutches Tommy's hand as they run for the nearest shelter. In a terrifying blast, Tommy is swept away, and Anne is blown into the air...landing, near death, in New York's Central Park. When she awakens in the hospital, she has no memory. It is 2008.

The handsome Dr. Jon Miles falls for the mysterious Anne, and he attempts to help her as she begins to remember her true identity. When an aggressive CIA agent pursues her, determined to learn the truth, Anne struggles to escape and return to her own country and her own time.

Couldn't stop listening

Elyse Douglas has done it again. I have thoroughly enjoyed this book; so much so that I had trouble putting it down. I loved the storyline and the ending, both very well done.

Cool twist on time travel

I’m a big fan of the Christmas Eve series and was happy to see this book. It was a good story and a cool twist on time travel.

Pleasant & interesting read

But lacking slightly in depth of research, especially in English topics and CIA surveillance tools.
Narration was good, but needed coaching on pronunciation (of English words & place names)

Good story , bad accent .

This book was a good one so I stuck with it and enjoyed the story . But as a Londoner I found the accents very poor. Anne’s English accent was not authentic and veered off many times. For example she used a short a in the word can’t . Much more of a mid Atlantic accent. Her character was from London so would not use this. Also her accent is upper class English and she is supposed to be from a working class London area and family. She definitely would not speak like this.
Don’t get me started on the Irish accent. It also was not good at all. It did tarnish the listen for me.
