Story
Weeks before NYPD Detective Michael Bennett is to marry his longtime love, Mary Catherine, an assassin announces his presence in the city with a string of grisly murders. Each victim is a young woman. And each has been killed in a manner as precise as it was gruesome. Tasked with working alongside the FBI, Bennett and his gung-ho new partner uncover multiple cold-case homicides across the country that fit the same distinctive pattern - proving the perpetrator they seek is as experienced at ending lives as he is at evading detection.

Returned it. 2nd book was horrible.
1st book was meh.
2nd book was meh to begin with then turned to horrible graphic stalking and violence against women. It is very up close and personal and very disturbing, to the level of necrophilia and not like they found the body later and determined it forensically. I tried to get through it, I really did but it was stomach turning and not worth finishing. Women, if you've ever had a bad relationship and you had even the slightest concern about what the man would do, I recommend avoid this. Horrible. Very disappointed.

The narration was Spot on!
Books like this turn me off for others from Mr. Patterson!! This is actually 2 books in one. Both have a beginning, middle & end .... but nothing in either book is related to the other! The exception being that Mr. Patterson has put his name on them to get the unsuspecting, like me, to buy this product.
I for one will be HIGHLY skeptical of "Mr. Patterson's" books in the future! I strongly advise other readers to research the books before clicking buy! If it's a collaboration... maybe... we'll just be sure you're getting what you think you're buying!
