I loved Marcus Tandem with everything that was me. To him I was just a business deal, a way to keep something he'd worked hard for. He never had any intentions of returning my affections. He never wanted me in his life. But I wanted him in mine.

When you fall in love with the devil, you expect to get burned. Marcus burned me. He consumed me. He devastated me. Somewhere inside I knew he was no good. I just prayed having me in his life might be enough. I hold on to that small hope that maybe, just maybe, somewhere deep down in his soul, he might love me too.

Quick enjoyable read with likable characters. Some light angst, drama, and no cheating. Narrators did a great job. Part 1 ends on a cliffhanger.

couldn't get pass chapter 3

the narrators are horrible, especially the female narrative when she has to do other people's voices. when I read the description the book sounded like it had potential so I will be checking it out in print on Kindle rather than listen to it.

Loved this book so full of angst. Broke my heart in a good way. When I bought this book, I didn’t know if I would like it, but it was perfect for me. Just the type I like.

My Favorite Kinda Mess!

Whew! These two are destined for each other, but the road to get there is long, dark and twisted. The book reminded me a lot of "Beautiful Disaster", which is another all time favorite of mine. Mega tears and heartbreak are in store for these two, but their chemistry is off the charts. Can her love save his soul? This HEA might be more deserved than any.

Very well-written.

The main characters share untold burdens of personal tragedy and angst. By the end of the book (I was wondering if book 2 was actually part of the first book and it was split up by audible and the author to make more $$) you realize you HAVE TO read (listen to) book 2. That's the only way to find the conclusion. So on to Book 2.
