Old habits...new enemies!

Dante Blackwell is a rarity in the criminal underworld, one who’s made the successful transition from street hood into legitimate businessman. It's a move which has borne the very fruit which he currently enjoys. But his lavish lifestyle threatens to unravel when Dante receives news from family member Natalie that her father, Dominic, was targeted in a recent assassination attempt that has left him clinging to his life!

Dante and one of the Blackwell clan’s fairer members, Alinna, race to the hospital after learning of the attempted hit. While there, Dante is filled in on the details of the incident and wonders if it bears any connection to a recent attempt on his own life. To obtain the necessary answers, Dante will have to revert to his old self, suppressing the charming businessman for the cold, calculating, and violent block thug he used to be. Dante will search every inch of the streets of Phoenix until he finds the gunman. But can he complete his mission before the man he was devours him whole?

Great

I really liked this book and would recommend it. It had a great storyline and sexual storylines. I wish this book was a movie or TV show. It keeps you on the edge of your seat.

I can't wait to hear the next book in the series. D and his three wife are something and I wonder if James and his two will follow suit. LOL

This author is a great writer and needs to keep up the good work. At first when I started this series I didn't know if I would like it. Well, guess what I can't wait to hear more! The narrator is great as well. I'm Really enjoying this series. I will hate when it's over and will probably re-listen to this series again at some point.

narrator sucks! good book! need for editor

I have to read and listen to the story multiple times prior to making this review. if you don't want spoilers move on. I still have a Time issue with the book. these children are infants they cannot talk as well as this narrator implies and the writer overly conveys to the public. Maya is only 2 months older than her brother at most. this book is taking place in a two-year span?? honestly, there needs to be editors who read these books prior to paying out the money it cost to have a narrator. more importantly, when choosing a narrator it's important to make sure that all the characters don't sound the same. honey has no idea of where to put the punctuation and proper Annunciation in the narration portion of the book. with new narrators and a few edits this book could be a number one bestseller. I honestly believe it would be a great Netflix or premium cable TV property. what's the proper edits I would actually submit this book series to my former employers. I cannot believe that the opportunity has been wasted on such an amazing property. sometimes, you have to slow down and put the proper Investments into a project to make it come across. first off as a black woman and much older than the writer I'm sure, my son is not walking in my house and telling me that he brought three women and calling all three his wives! more importantly legally Elena is his only wife. so please forgive the typo because I'm doing talk-to-text. now let's get into this storyline. Dante should be much older than 20 to 22 years. could we at least have stretched the story out over a five to six year period which would have made more sense? but I'm going to tell you this book has so much Matrix feel to it that you will love it even with all its flaws. I just completely hate the narrator and I know that's a harsh word to you, but she brings no value to the book. invest properly so that we can enjoy these books. I honestly read all five books and was hoping that I would want to purchase the audible version. y'all can keep the audible version but I promise you if you get involved in this book you're going to love it. now let's talk about James and Maxine. first off James knew Marie was coming to town. it's not like it was a surprise and he was just Shady and nasty about that one. however, unless Elena is Puerto Rican black she need to drop that N WORD. she not black and that would get her knocked out continuously using the word. but I'm going to give her a pass because she Puerto Rican which means she's put a negro. I love the Multicultural however at some point we going to have to explain his love for all these Hispanic and Asian women. I'm hoping he go to Barbados and bring a sister home who knocks all these chicks out the box. it's time that he have one woman who it's better than all of these women. Natalie softer the marshmallow and he just using her to have a clean background to fall on. by this book he is way too young to even know what love is. he still got Similac behind his ears. so I'm hoping as he matures he matures into a man who ends up with one strong woman that has his back. who knows book five might impressed people but since I've read it I'm going to be nice and tell you you actually have to read it in order to really enjoy the story. so stop reading what I wrote flip over the book number five and enjoy the finale.

Decent installment

Okay.I have one more book to go. I'm about sick of Dante and ask of these women. I need to see if this author is a man or woman because this is beginning to read like a lot of men's fantasy relationships.😂😂

Meh… going a bit overboard

I’ve been working my way through this entire series and it just seems to be getting more and more outlandish. The narrator still sucks

Good Read

They are good books. It just got on my nerves that he treated Alinna like she was one of his partners and Natalie like a princess. I probably wouldn't buy the books but they were a fun read.

Unrealistic Storyline

JL Rose, another wife REALLY❗️Dante, should purchase a free clinic and start distributing penicillin laced blunts to himself❗️; This Blackwell empire wannabe isn’t remotely realistic, even for nonfiction artistry. Now, the readers are supposed to accept this drug business has conveniently expanded to the east coast without any resistance from the Italian and or Irish mafia…circa 1972 “The Goodfather” .This Dante Blackwell (and family) BS brothel saga is a fairy tale beyond Hollywood standards. The “Tied To A Boss” storyline is unrealistic.
