When a rash of horrifying crimes tears through the city, the city calls on Detective Michael Bennett, pulling him away from a seaside retreat with his ten adopted children. Not only does it tear apart their vacation, it leaves the entire family open to attack. Immediately, it becomes clear that the crimes are not the work of an amateur, but of a calculating, efficient, and deadly mastermind.
Bennett enlists the help of a former colleague, FBI Agent Emily Parker. As his affection for Emily grows into something stronger, his relationship with the nanny takes an unexpected turn. All too soon, another appalling crime leads Bennett to a shocking discovery that exposes the killer's pattern and the earth-shattering enormity of his plan.

Would you consider the audio edition of Tick Tock: Michael Bennett, Book 4 to be better than the print version?
I would rather have read the book. I did not like either narrator's voice. The narration for Michael did not match the energy and attitude I had associated with him after reading the first three books. He sounded drained, depressed and nasally! I much prefer the energy I attached to the character in my own mind.Did the narration match the pace of the story?
I think the main character's narration brought the book down. As previously mentioned it felt very low energy, drained and nasally! I think the villain's narration worked better. Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, although it didn't work out that way.Any additional comments?
I really liked the plot. I like Michael Bennet's character and am glad the Patterson has come up with a new character that I enjoy. The family dynamic and love interests are just right.Suspenseful and interesting
