Excellent Wrap-up!

I liked the first book more but I enjoyed the HEA in this one! I highly recommend both of them because of the exceptional writing and narration. I’m definitely a fan of Rina Kent now!

Good story w/ great narration.

Rina Kent’s stories are almost always at least 4 stars. This was a 3.5 for story for me, which is still above average. I think the narration enhanced the experience.

Kyle saying "Princess" sounded so sinful!

This review is for both books in this duet.

When Kyle and Rai are wed in an arranged mafia marriage, bother have ulterior motives for agreeing to it. Kyle has scores to settle, and Rai wants to cement her seat at the table of the leaders of the Sokolov family. Women aren't supposed to be leaders, but Rai learned from her grandfather how to attain and use power to get what she wants. As Kyle and Rai play a dangerous game of cat and mouse with each other, they fight to acknowledge their growing attraction to one another, while not trusting their spouse. While they may have some steamy days and nights, it's all purely physical, and something expected of a married couple. Right? Rivalries and peace deals between mafia families are made, and no one trusts no one, but the Sokolov family must all work together to maintain their power.

The second story is much more intense, and full of action. This was a mafia tale full of layers and complicated characters. I loved how the characters weren't just good or bad; they are looking out for just themselves, and some for others they care for, or who can help them. Some people aren't who you think they are; but some are exactly who you think they are. A thrill ride from start to finish. Questions are answered, but some aren't, and you're left wondering...

Shane East and Vanessa Edwin did such a wonderful job w/the narration. This was my first Rina Kent book, and I definitely will be reading more of her work.

I loved this as a book but an audiobook... wow! Shane and Vanessa brought my Kyle and Rai to life and this conclusion to the duet was perfection. They have crazy chemistry and overall they pair slayed me! My fave Rina Kent couple to date!!!
