poor story line again

why would any author kill off one of the most loved characters like Box did l think I am done with this author

I have listened to the whole joe Pickett series . I am sixty nine and will probably be hard to find another series that i enjoy like this. Being a hunter and raised on a farm and veteran army the books had everything i look for in books

I liked everything about this book. I hope CJ Box continues to write about Joe Picket

Great as Alwaya

Great story as usual. My only real criticism is David Chandler - while Nate has a very distinctive voice, l dont always know if a male or female is speaking bc his voices for both are pretty much the same. He tries to separate them with this strange almost staccato uptick in speech pattern for the females, but it comes off as just weird. I still enjoy his readings, I've been listening for years now. It beats sitting and reading when I just dont have the time for that. I live rurally and drive 20 miles or more just for groceries so Im used to audiobooks and podcasts. Beats listening to music, which gets boring really fast!

Gripping story!

Kept my interest. Listened to it in 2 days! Box delivers another fantastic novel. Enjoy!
