Historically Accurate

I love a good story wrapped in history. This book puts flesh and bones on historical facts that bring the listener into the adventures of everyday life in another time and place. The narrator did a wonderful job with all characters. If you like intergenerational adventure, faith, and clean romance, this book checks all the boxes

enjoyable story of a family making it's way to Oregon. well written characters and a great story.

I loved the Christian perspective

This was a very exciting story, and I didn’t even realize it until I finished, that it was based on a real person-Tabatha Moffet Brown! It turns out they got the facts very accurate and made it an exciting story at the same time!

A road less traveled

Wasn’t one of Kirkpatricks best, I’m a big fan of Jane Kirkpatrick’s books. I’ve read all of them some of them more than once.

The history of the move west

Enjoyed the story’s of the orphans and the hard choices of the family’s and the wives fear. Made it real

It was an engaging story, interesting characters, historical timeframe and setting. Nothing overly memorable. Sweet characters, just not a very deep plot.

This well written and read story of how God blessed the faithfulness and generosity of one family inspires me to trust God.
