Patricia Logan’s Thin Blue Line series tells the story of Detective Pope Dades, and Homeland Security Investigator Felix Jbarra. From the moment the two men meet - while Felix is working an undercover case, and Pope is chasing down a suspect - sparks and bullets are in their future.

The Thin Blue Line series complete boxed set contains all three books in the series, Thin Blue, Order and Anarchy, and Crime and Chaos. That’s over 30 hours of listening pleasure, narrated by the incredibly talented Michael Dean!

Excellent narration with the exception of the words in Spanish. The pronunciation is insulting. Felix is a bilingual or at the very least an English dominant speaker. The character’s pronunciation of the words in Spanish is not true. I don’t think that Felix would have any trouble pronouncing the few Spanish words used. The narrator did not seem to have any trouble with the Arabic words.

Narrator is excellent, but.1

I really like all of Patricia's books but book 3 in the Thin Blue Line series was not only ridiculous but rather demeaning to the Secret Service. Not to mention that the Secret Service would not be assigned to low level diplomats at an energy conference so the whole premiseis crazy. But going with the fictional nature of the plot, it still should be writtentomake some sense. The fact that there was an attack on the prince and 2 people killed and they didn't take action to up security ot remove him from the conference etc? Then to have a mass terrorist shooting and they continued on with conference events? Seriously? And that the Secret Service would shoot like 30 bullets into the gunman before they final came to the conclusion that a head shot was in order? The writer obviously doesn't have much respect for the Secret Service. I rolled my eyes so many times during this I got a headache. It certainly won't keep me from listening to her books, most of the things these guys do are kind of far fetched but it is usually to make them look good not demeaning. Just my opinion.

Great until Book 3

These are good old fashioned crime novels. The stories require some concessions to common sense, but not much. I was especially impressed by the diversity of characters. I think the narration was great but these books cried out for more than one narrators because of the need to capture the richness of the diversity. Nevertheless, they (all of them) are a must read or hear!

Great Detective Story
