Publisher's summary

Homeland Security investigators Felix Jbarra and Pope Dades are about to work their first big case as partners. Someone is creating counterfeit government documents and selling them through a site similar to the old Silk Road which was shut down years ago. As they dive into the case with the help of their friends at the FBI and LAPD, Felix and Pope realize the dark website is selling more than documents. It’s selling death.

When a man connected with the website turns up murdered, it’s all hands on deck, and with so many letter agencies involved in this case, coordinating all parties is bound to be a challenge. When yet another agency unexpectedly gets involved, their bosses would find it laughable if it wasn’t so damned dangerous.

Felix and Pope are getting used to being partners, but they are well-trained professionals who must learn to trust each other at work as well as at home. When a bomb almost kills them, they have no choice but to shorten that learning curve.

From the mean streets of Hollywood to unfamiliar places on the dark net, our heroes put themselves in danger every moment, trying their best to protect innocents while keeping each other alive.

Order and Anarchy also contains an exciting excerpt from the third book in the series, Crime and Chaos!

Pope & Felix are back!!!

This is Pope & Felix's first case as partners at Homeland Security. And it's a big one! A Dark Web Site called Brokendoor is selling counterfeit immigration documents, fake passports to counterfeit green cards and naturalization paperwork. It has a hacker that hacked in to the State Department & stole real numbers for their fake documents. We also have murder & bombs & of course romance & some drama...*cough*...Pope!!!!! Michael Pauley does a great job bringing Patricia Logan's books to life!!!!!

OMG I love this series

I am one of those people who really want long books, prefer 1-99 audiobooks, just kidding but I like getting to know the main
characters. I won't tell you the story, enough reviews do that. But this was such a good listen, I have read book 1 and already ordered book 3.
This is a new writer to me but I also downloaded another series from her. Keep up the good work!

With a bang

Well, this is definitely a book and series to pick up when you are looking for something fast-paced and non-stop action – in all senses of the word.

This time Felix and Pope are roped into a forgery case – a case that turns out to be much bigger and much more dangerous very quickly. The hunt for the mystery forger has them ducking not only bullets, but also explosions and assassins.

There is also a larger plot at play in this series. Someone pulling the strings behind the scenes, directing others to what’s to come. It’s always hinted at in bits and pieces, and the hands that lead the way is subtle – at least identity wise. I love that the reader and listener don’t get to know who or what the larger picture is, I’m in the dark just like our guys are. Well, a bit less so, seeing as I know that there is a big bad directing the events. I also have a distinct feeling that when the identity is finally revealed, it will be devastating in more ways than one.

If you’ve read Logan’s Death and Destruction series I’m guessing that this book will feel like a reunion of sorts. There are plenty of, what I’m assuming to be, couples making entry and going by the comments, they all have their story to tell. Logan handled this really well, and while I did have the distinct feeling of not knowing all the couples or their stories I never felt like I had to know them to fully enjoy and understand this book. I did wonder about them though. How they ended up where they were, wonder about their stories. While you don’t have to have read the previous series, I would say you should probably read or listen to the first book in this series before going into this one.

Felix and Pope continue to take steps forward in their relationship. Starting to admit to stronger feelings – could it possibly be love? And Felix is also starting to seriously think of coming out to his family and introducing them to Pope. I liked seeing this, how they were slowly letting go of the past and moving forward. At the same time, I was also wishing for a bit more emotion between them and less of the physical. We all know they are very compatible and explosive in that department. I wished we could be there for a deeper connection between them as well. At some point, if they’ll have a hope to last, they need to start talking – really talk and open up. Sharing fears and wants instead of dancing around and avoiding. So far it’s true to their characters’ natures, and I’ll guess I should be patient and give them more time.

I’m very partial to Michael Pauley’s gruff voice. This time we also got an Irish accent. I love accents, so they are always a treat for me in any audiobook. As always his distinct voices and the passion he adds to his narration enhances the listener experience and make you want to come back for more – much more.

It was a long wait between the first and second audiobook in this series, but fortunately the last book in this series was released a few days after this one so I can jump right into their next adventure.

loved it!

Did the story keep me engaged: yes
Were there any parts I found annoying: no
Did I feel an emotional connection to the characters: yes
Would I listen to it again: absolutely

Fast paced, action packed Forgery case with all the usual characters + hackers, bombs, drama and the chaos that goes hand in hand with these boys ... ticked all my boxes 😁 Love the way the familiar partners from the other Alphabet agencies continue to help out.

Michael Pauley (aka Michael Dean) does a great job bringing the characters in Order and Anarchy to life, all the emotions, excitement and tensions are there making for an excellent listening experience.

Could NOT get into it.

I couldn't finish it. The book was sooooo boring. The relationship between the MCs just takes too long to get into. This is the 2nd book in there series so we expect there to be more going on between them. I was maybe halfway through the book and they still haven't actually talked to each other about issues they are having or their feelings. And the crime plot that they are trying to solve is such a throw away. It is half of the book and yet doesn't make any sense at all. I was into the first book but this one did not do it for me.
