MC tends to have a child's innocence

this was a fun listen the mc for once isn't a know it all or a genius, he simply wants to have a few friends and treats everyone respectfully while still willing to go out of his way to fight.

Pretty great start to a new series!! Jerry truly is a good guy which is very hard to be in a crazy world full of magic!

Funny + Delightful adventure in Good Guy Necromancing

I enjoyed Jerry and his crew of Axe Hands and Bony against all the wickedness in their little world. The narration was a perfect fit for the tongue and cheek dark humor, total annihilation of enemies, through necromancy awesomeness as told through an endearing narrator in his straight face, outstanding audiobook!

I was excited for this one since I first heard the sample chapters from the end of another book.

I enjoyed it a lot, but there were a few things that bothered me. This MC really leans into the idiot protagonist trope. Making him damn near the Forrest Gump of protagonists.

He sorta just wanders through life, expecting everything to work out. And if it doesn’t? Oh well. lol. It can be endearing, but it can also stretch the limits of my suspension of disbelief.

I’ll look forward to the next one.
