I had the pleasure of listening to each of these books when they were originally released, and returning to them together in this box set was an absolute delight. Hearing Books 3–5 back‑to‑back truly highlights just how expansive and thoughtfully crafted The World of Samar is, making this collection a wonderful immersive experience.

M.L. Hamilton’s world‑building is rich, layered, and incredibly detailed, with a scope that feels truly epic. The characters continue to grow and deepen as the series progresses, and it’s easy to stay emotionally invested in their journeys. Even on a re‑listen, the story remains compelling, with plenty of moments that draw you right back into Samar.

Kelley Hazen’s narration is exceptional and elevates the entire experience. Her performance brings depth, personality, and clarity to a wide range of characters, making the world feel vivid and alive. This box set is a fantastic way to experience—or revisit—an incredible fantasy series, and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys immersive storytelling and long‑form epic fantasy.
