A witty, spectacular, and timely tale of modern-day witches waging war on the patriarchy, from fan favorite Kirsten Miller, the author of The Change and Lula Dean’s Little Library of Banned Books.

There are places on earth where nature’s powers gather. Girls raised there are bequeathed strange gifts. A few have powers so dark that they fear to use them. Such a place is Wild Hill, on the tip of Long Island. For centuries, the ghost of a witch murdered by colonists claimed the beautiful and fertile Wild Hill…until a young Scottish woman with strange gifts arrived. Sadie Duncan was allowed to stay.

Five generations of Sadie’s descendants called Wild Hill home, each generation more powerful than the last. Then, in the aftermath of a terrible tragedy, the last of the Duncans, once prophesized to be the most powerful of their kind, abandoned their ancestral home.

One of them, Brigid Laguerre moved to California and turned her dark gift into fame and fortune. Her sister, Phoebe, settled on a ranch in Texas, where women visit in secret for her tonics and cures. Phoebe’s daughter, Sybil, has become a famous chef. Seemingly powerless, Sibyl has never been told of the Duncan bloodline.

Now Brigid, Phoebe, and Sibyl have been brought to Wild Hill to discover their family legacy. The Old One, furious at the path mankind has taken, has chosen three powerful witches to turn the tide. The Duncans will fulfill their destinies—but only if they can set aside their grievances and come together as a family.

Imagine if Harry Potter students grew up to be climate warriors protecting the Earth. Great characters, lots of twists and turns, fun victorious moments outsmarting the bad guys and in the end you're so glad you read it. You may be inspired to become braver and more engaged in protecting our precious earth. But don't worry, the story is amazing even if you don't ever change your politics. Enjoy the characters, the plot twists And a story that's very hard to stop listening to.

I enjoyed Kirsten Miller’s The Change but I loved this one. Great story overall, fighting the patriarchy with a dash of Practical Magic. Heartfelt and entertaining.

The Change is one of my favorite reads. I couldn’t contain my excitement when I found out there would be another book including the character(s) and premise of The Change. I wish these women were my friends, and the world was truly at peace.

Need more of these women!

I love how this story straightforwardly explains how the patriarchy (which is destroying our planet with greed) is taken out by women. These women realize they are connected to the power and forces of nature and head on a path to create a more peaceful, healthy abundant earth.

Excellent story! Witches solving the crisis of the earth!

I wasn’t emotionally involved in the novel, but the storyline was interesting. The bad guys were all lumped into one category with very little nuance distinguishing them

The narrator is great and the story wasn’t by the numbers.

I enjoyed the female empowerment of the story as well as the different characters and timeliness. I want to read more like this by this author.

Great story, characters

This book is exactly what men historically feared about women during “The Burning TImes” centuries ago, and, without giving away the plot I’ll just say, it is brazenly wonderful. It’s actually not super intense despite the amount of “dead weight”men they murder. It’s all in service to the goddess to help usher in the new wave of men to elevate the whole world. It ends a little abruptly so I am wondering if there will be more books to come? Definitely worth a listen!

This book is a statement... and I am here for it.

The narration was incredible as we're all the characters and the plot. I loved how it felt like a continuation of The Change. what an amazing author.
