From New York Times bestselling author Brian Freeman, Photograph is an emotional cold case mystery of hidden identities and startling twists—perfect for fans of Lisa Jewell, Mary Kubica, and Freida McFadden.

Shannon Wells is a private investigator who helps women with nowhere else to go. Last year, a woman named Faith Selby came to Shannon with a strange request: Find out who I really am.

Shannon soon discovered that Faith was hiding a whole other life, but was unable to penetrate the web of mystery the woman had built around her past. Now Faith is dead. The only clue to who she was and why she was murdered is an old photograph of a little girl in the rain outside a Midwestern motel.

The hunt for answers takes Shannon from the hot beaches of Florida to a remote small town in Michigan as she peels away layer after layer of a shocking cold case that has rippled violently into the present. With each secret she uncovers, the danger around her grows—and forces Shannon to confront the demons hiding in her own past.

Hands down the best Brian Freeman book I have ever read or listened to. Strong, complex characters and a deep mystery that spans decades. I was invested from the get-go. I did like that there were not a lot of gory scenes, it was more about the mystery of the crime.

Full disclosure I chose this book because of January LaVoy. She is by far the best narrator in the business.

If you are a mystery fan give it a whirl. You won't be sorry.

WOW! Pay attention when listening to this one.

The best part of this story is the narrator, January LaVoy. She is extremely talented. Her ability to change characters and display emotions so readily is beyond amazing.

Do you ever feel like a situation with another, triggers something in you? Is there more to that feeling? We should always treat others like family because we don't know what they have be through.

I found this book because I was looking for novels narrated by the amazing January Lavoy, and I’m so glad I did find it because it is really good with so many little mysterious storylines that don’t seem to tie together, but it all came together beautifully by the end.Of course this narrator could probably make a phonebook interesting, but this novel was really captivating, and I plan to enjoy other novels by the same author. Highly recommend!

Intriguing!

The book had me captivated from start to finish. I’m always looking for something to get lost in and to greedily binge and this book was perfect. Kept the interest of an extremely inattentive human. Thank you Brian Freeman for writing such a beautiful novel and thank you to January LaVoy for your great narration! A match made in heaven.
