For Durzo Blint, assassination is an art - and he is the city's most accomplished artist.

For Azoth, survival is precarious. Something you never take for granted. As a guild rat, he's grown up in the slums and learned to judge people quickly - and to take risks. Risks like apprenticing himself to Durzo Blint.

But to be accepted, Azoth must turn his back on his old life and embrace a new identity and name. As Kylar Stern, he must learn to navigate the assassins' world of dangerous politics and strange magics - and cultivate a flair for death.

Performed by Dylan Lynch, David Coyne, Eric Messner, Ren Casey, Ken Jackson, Christopher Graybill, Michael Glenn, Terence Aselford, Tim Getman, Elizabeth Jernigan, Richard Rohan, Colleen Delany, Johann Dettweiler, Thomas Penny, Joe Brack, Casie Platt, Nanette Savard, Lily Beacon, Laura Quinn, Mort Shelby, James Lewis, Scott McCormick, Yazmin Tuazon.

Everyone and everything sounded like they were ment to be in the story. Much love.

an amazing conclusion to the first volume of this trilogy. Very brutal at certain points, and I'm still a little concerned because I've been burned by books that turned out to be a little more than torture porn concerning the protagonist, but I like what I've heard so far, I love the characters, and I'm hoping that when I get to volume two and three, I'm not let down.

tough one to get through, but worth it.

I really liked the book. Bit personally, I found the whole movie in your head thing a bit distracting. Some time I could not hear the narrator with all the background noise.

They were good though, but I guess I am used to imagining all.the stuff on my own like when I read a book. So, I will be getting the second book with normal audio.

If you prefer the movie in your mind, the sound effects were very good. Especially when they were doing magic, etc. I really viewed the power and the magic words they were saying were cool, etc. So, you may really like it.

Loved the book not the movie

I’d call it a page turner but it’s an audio book. I literally couldn’t turn it off, so many secrets twists & turns. A Great Book
