Beautiful
I loves the way the characters were developed and portrayed as so human. The book weaves emotion and pain and move and hardships and joy together into a beautiful tapestry of unlikely, but amazingly strong love.

emotionally gripping!!!
wow, this book had right from the start! I felt such a connection to the characters. I found myself choked up with emotion throughout the entire story. I will now look for anything this author writes!

The War Orphan is just as good as the first two. Stellar narration!
Well worth listening to. The author ties in the previous book nicely. This one is another perspective of the unspeakable ramifications of the Holocaust. The narrator is fantastic !

Meh
Not Anna Stuart’s best. The story line is just okay and the characters lack personality (or what they have is annoying). The narrator is fine for most of the book, but when she reads the charter crying it’s like fingernails on a chalkboard. Ugh!!! It was enough to make me want to rip my AirPods out! I ended up skipping any section where the pitch of her voice changed.
