The legends of Ansu are to be savoured. Complex characters, dark motives, cruel and clever, gruesome and gory. A fast paced tale that will immerse you in this world. Atmospheric and addictive, I have loved all the books in this saga and the Voyage of Carlo Sarfe is another great action-packed tale. Masterfully interpreted by Andrew McDermott whose brogue is perfect for this medieval sword and sorcery. Highly recommended for lovers of dark fantasy.

Dark Fantasy - complex and compelling

I love how unique the story is! I loved getting more details about Corin's life (I was a little devastated at the Corin Chronicles ending), as well as Ariane's. The story is like a fantasy genre Doctor Who episode in a Scooby-Doo manor, and I'm here for it!

still don't like the narrator much, but he's much better than the Corin stories. I saw a review about the North men sounding like Arnold Schwarzenegger and its so spot on haha.

Fantasy meets Doctor Who

Within the legend of Carlo Sarf, the author has intricately woven several wonderful characters (the Journeyman being my favorite) who meet each other in a world I find fascinating! The mix of fantasy and reality, characters that show good and bad in their persona, good versus evil - all kept me listening! And I was so wanting the story to never end! And thank you to the narrator for bringing them characters to life!

I didn’t want the book to end!

The Voyage of Carlo Sarfe: Sir Garland (Legends of Ansu Book 9), my nineth read from author J.W. Webb. Great characters, non-stop action, a great read/listen, written in the same style as the Corin an Fol tales. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing. Andrew McDermott’s excellent narration & accent again add to the book's enjoyment. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Enjoyable
