Excellent start to a new series!

If you love historical fiction, Cameron is one of the best writers out there. He picked a location near and dear to my heart - Venice - probably my favorite city in the world. He has an intriguing main character with a fascinating cast of minor characters. Plenty of action and intrigue and an intricate look at the politics of Venice in the mid-17th century....
