Publisher's summary

In his penultimate adventure, a devastated but determined Apollo travels to Camp Jupiter, where he must learn what it is to be a hero, or die trying.

It's not easy being Apollo, especially when you've been turned into a human and banished from Olympus. On his path to restoring five ancient oracles and reclaiming his godly powers, Apollo (a.k.a. Lester Papadopoulos) has faced both triumphs and tragedies. Now, his journey takes him to Camp Jupiter in the San Francisco Bay Area, where the Roman demigods are preparing for a desperate last stand against the evil Triumvirate of Roman emperors. Hazel, Reyna, Frank, Tyson, Ella, and many other old friends will need Apollo's aid to survive the onslaught. Unfortunately, the answer to their salvation lies in the forgotten tomb of a Roman ruler...someone even worse than the emperors Apollo has already faced.

Percy Jackson is the eponymous hero of the best-selling Percy Jackson and the Olympians series by Rick Riordan. He made his debut in The Lightning Thief at just 12 years old, where he discovered the shocking truth about his parentage: He is a demigod, the son of a mortal woman and the god Poseidon. Beyond his own series, he was one of the protagonists in the Heroes of Olympus series and has since appeared in other spin-off novels and series from Riordan.

Yet another entertaining Riordan story

I’ve loved all of Rick Riordan’s books since the Lightning Thief came out, and have bought all his young adult, mythology books since. In this story, Rick Riordan does not disappoint and leaves you on the edge of your seat by the end wondering what Lester’s fate will ultimately be. Robbie Daymond is also a skillful narrator, who brings all the characters to life and left me chuckling in my seat multiple times. I also love how Rick Riordan begins all the chapters with 3 lines of poetic verses to give a sneak peek with what will happen in the chapter. I’m kind of shocked he was able to come up with so many. Can’t wait to see what Rick Riordan and Robbie Daymond will do in the final book of the series, The Tower of Nero (which comes out in a month!).

The best book

This the best book by far in the TOA series. Once again, Mr. Daymond gave a thrilling performance of the novel, bringing the characters to life with his expert voice acting. If there were any criticisms I could give, it would be that Rick Riordan seems to be forgetting what he wrote in his previous stories, getting several minor details wrong, but over all a fantastic experience

Amazing

I really enjoyed the book. I think though it was kinda dark. I think uncle rocks books kinda grow with the reader. First Percy-Jackson was a kids series then heroes of Olympus got into mature themes and trials of Apollo has a lot of death. But the book was actually really good and enjoyable. It was funny and it was suspenseful. And I kinda like the fact that it had death because it kinda deals with something real that isn’t just in a imagination world. So yeah.
