Much better than Book 4

I was skeptical in trying book 5 after book 4 but given the ones before book 4 were good I went ahead.
Book 5 seems to go away from the below a bit:
1. Book 4 : MC was like a 13 year old on Viagra; don't get me wrong I don't mind slight harems but if focus its not the book for me
2. Book 4 : horses that just isn't ok

Side note Jason Cheeks search history would be some 2girls1cup kinda sick stuff I mean horses & gremlin chicks, don't get me wrong I like how monsters could use the bodies of victims to reproduce just not how the MC responded to the victims while/right after it happened. Keep with the dark/evil crap that's great for the story just tweak the MC's responses to them, also don't take the MC to far down your fantasies since I am going to go out on a limb & say yours are a hair outside the pail.
Just advice from someone who will never wright a book but is hoping to see many more of this series but if the MC goes to 'beast' I'm going to have to check out.

A perfect continuation of the series!

Full of the those oh $#!+ moments where I had to pause and digest what I just heard. You can tell the author loves this world and it's characters.

Jason Hill's performances continue to improve with each book.

Better and Better!

I liked this series from the very beginning, first login was the first ever litRPG novel I'd ever read and I loved it. The story just keeps getting better and better. Startum does things the way I would do them which just sucks me in so much more. I was pleasantly surprised I was wrong in my prediction of who the enemy was

the characters whether player or NPC are just wonderful and immerse you in the story so much. I also love al lthe difrent real world groups of gamers are represented even visually impaired folks like me.

What The Graystone Chronicles wishes it was

This is a story a person can sink their teeth into. With relatable characters realistic reaction to given cenarios and create world interaction with all the players who all fit into many of the gamer archetypes I have actually seen, from the guy who always win to the guy who never thinks he did anything wrong.

Not sure if it is the narration or the writing

It is probably a combination of both, but the narration sounds like it is trying to be overly dramatic way too much, even when it is completely in opposition to what is being said at the time. That, and the fact that half the damn writing is spent explaining mundane details for no reason, as well as the MC and friends sounding more and more obnoxious. There is enough whining going on throughout the story that I end up skipping up parts as soon as certain characters are mentioned because it is just teen drama level of bitchiness which serves no purpose other than make you end up hating those characters (Jill, Sarka, Crystal, Jeff and AJ) they do nothing for the story except remind you of all those groups you end up avoiding. Also, the MC makes out like he is a strategic genius for coming up with any form of basic strategy, and comes off extremely smug while doing so. And to top it off, the MC feels obligated to just take all the bitchiness and whining, then apologise like it is his fault, the guy is a complete Mary-Sue. I only got through this because some of the parts between the stuff previously mentioned were interesting enough to keep me entertained while I did something else. Why does the MC have to be a total nancy, act like a smug teen, and go into great details about how PC he is when it comes to female players? GET ON WITH THE DAMN STORY!! nobody cares how PC you are!
