Story
Obituary writer Nadine Barbault doesn’t mind being called “Lady Death”. It suits the ice queen persona she’s cultivated to survive the fast-paced Toronto Herald. So when Nadine learns that famous (and reclusive) author Dot Voline has died, she doesn’t hesitate to run the obituary…only to discover that Dot is very much alive. Nadine’s screw-up has brought Wesley Chen of the rival Spear no end of joy—she’s been a thorn in his extremely ambitious side for years. But the renewed interest in Dot also surfaced chatter about a mysterious past scandal.

Ryder, Garrett, Kenzo, and Diesel - The Vipers. Their deals are as sordid as their business, and their reputation is enough to bring a grown man to his knees, forcing him to beg for mercy. They are not people you mess with, yet my dad did. The old man ran up a debt with them and then sold me to cover his losses. Yes, sold me. They own me now. I’m theirs in every sense of the word. But I’ve never been meek and compliant.

Story
Eight years ago I fell into a secret summer fling with my best friend’s little sister before our lives went in different directions. Now, I’m the grumpy to Juliet’s sunshine on a popular dating podcast we host, and when a wealthy fan gives us a charming coastal cottage as the biggest thank you ever, we head to the town where I grew up to give it a makeover. And find the house has only one bed. Located under a mirrored ceiling.

Reincarnation
A wonderful story that will immerse you from start to finish. Author, Charlene A. Wilson has written a perfect story. I found it to be unique and I found myself intrigued throughout the story. The world she created is different, yet it was almost like our own except for powers these three brothers have. The story is filled with suspense, magic, and true undying love. The author paints a very vivid story and makes you feel as if you're there living and seeing everything as it unfolds. I really enjoyed the characters, the brothers were likeable and I loved how they looked out for each other. I can't wait to listen to the next story, if it's available on Audible.
The narrator, David J. Shaughnessy did a great job with his telling of the story. I enjoyed the narrators dialogue and his accents he gave each character. I did have one problem with his performance but it's a tiny problem. After the Narrator finished each character, I felt like he took too long to start the next chapter. This did bother me somewhat because it made me think the story just stopped so I was checking to make sure it didn't just stop several times. Overall, the story was written perfectly and the narrator kept my interest held, so I give the story 5 stars. I received this audio in exchange for an honest review.

True Love finds always a way.
What made the experience of listening to The Transformation of Anna the most enjoyable?
The excellent narration by David J. Shaughnessy who brings life to all characters and keeps up the reader's interest!
What other book might you compare The Transformation of Anna to and why?
I don't like to compare books. This is a unique, magical story of true love, soul mates and reincarnation. I haven't read something like that before and I really enjoyed it very much.
Which character – as performed by David J. Shaughnessy – was your favorite?
He makes every character special and combined all of them makes the narration and the story special too.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The last half of the book was the most exciting for me. Cole's determination to get Anna back as he is truly consumed by the fact that she is his always true love was heart breaking and I am anxious to see what happens next.
Any additional comments?

A nice read but not for me
I was given this audiobook in return for an honest review.
The narrator did a great job. His character voices were distinct and I didn't roll my eyes when he did female voices. The story was good and the plot well thought out. Wilson did a nice job building a completely solid world. I should have cared for the characters more but something held me back. I just couldn't escape into the story.

Story
Getting in Touch with My Feminine Side
Would you listen to The Transformation of Anna again? Why?
Oddly I would. Romance fantasy is not something I would normally read. However, there are some writers, Anne McCaffrey, and Andre Norton for a pair and I would add Charlene A. Wilson to that group of women Fantasy writers who I would read.
What did you like best about this story?
Charlene as an author has a gift for integrating her descriptions of scenes with the story progression making the environment a part of the tale. She creates conflict using common events and intertwines it with the fantasy realm she is writing about
Which character – as performed by David J. Shaughnessy – was your favorite?
David is an excellent narrator and his reading of non-characters, in other words, the action and description of events is excellent, and his voice shifting between male and female roles was well done. But this is Coles story and I felt he was the character I favored.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No, the book is over six hours of listening, I listened to it in three sittings.
Any additional comments?
This is not my usual reading interest, but I did enjoy the story, the characters, and the narration. David J. Shaughnessy is a terrific narrator, and his reading fits Charlene's writing style beautifully.
