Publisher's Summary

A riveting time-travel romance...

Searching for meaning in her life, Hannah Myers is disoriented when she finds herself thrown back in time to 1918. Why is she here? And how can she possibly be falling in love with a buttoned-up newspaper reporter named David Wagner?

With its quaint trolleys and Model Ts, Atlanta of 1918 is a far cry from the Atlanta she knows in 2019. It’s a dangerous era, with a virulent flu epidemic killing millions while American doughboys are shipped off to fight in the waning days of the First World War. As if that’s not bad enough, the Ku Klux Klan is roaring back to life while a corrupt politician threatens anyone who crosses him, especially a certain reporter.

Realizing how great the threat is to the man she loves, Hannah is desperate to protect him. But is it possible to tamper with history? Could there be adverse repercussions?

Listening to the past in real time.

I bought and read The Time Capsule when it was released in May 2020. Subsequently, the author
released an audible version she recorded herself. I really enjoyed reading the book so I bought a
copy of the audible version. Never having listened to an audible book before, I was curious to see
if the author's presentation would enhance the story. I have listened to the first few chapters and
there is no doubt about it. Listening to Connie Lacy presenting the book verbally definitely enhances
the story! These days, when I have a space in time, I crank up the audible book and transport to 1918.
I will continue to do so until I finish listening to it. Highly recommended.

Author tells own story perfectly

Who better to interpret a novel than the novelist herself? Connie Lacy provides her own rich and expressive voice for the audiobook version of The Time Capsule. The result is dialogue and description with meaning the author intended and characters brought to their most authentic life. I read the print version of Lacy’s captivating story, but it wasn’t until I heard I read by Lacy herself that my imagination was fully ignited.
