Great historical time travel

Great historical time travel. Very interesting take on the historical fiction time travel genre. Would recommend.

Absolutely Enthralling!!!

A must-read for any one who loves WWI, historical novels. I ate up every page of the story from the narrator.

A wonderful storyline for those with an interest in historical fiction and/or time travel romance genre

Loved the book, great story with solid writing and few plot holes. Only real complaint is it ends rather abruptly. I finished the book and kept wanting to know more about the characters. It was an interesting take on the time travel romance genre, I personally got into it because I find WW1 fascinating and really enjoyed Birdsong. I highly recommend giving it a read if you enjoyed Birdsong or the Outlander series

Odd time travel explanation. Good history.

I know it’s time travel, and thus fiction, so the author can do what she wishes. But her explanation for the time travel was way out there. Putting that aside: The story itself was quite good and well researched. If the horror of war makes you squeamish, this might be much. The author does an excellent job making it real. She also gets the potential horror of a modern mental hospital down pretty well, especially for a patient with no family to defend them.
Overall, it’s a lot of history with a sweet love story woven in.

Delightful!

I was skeptical at first as the book’s start was a bit banal. Then I started to be thwarted in my usual game of guessing as to what was going to happen next, being proven wrong again and yet again. WWI scenes were quite horrific, apropos to the reality of what was to become The Great War. I was fascinated with what passed for medicine at the time and the reality of camp surgery and nursing. The time travel aspect of the story took second place to the history of the era and the sweet wartime love story, but woven together well just the same. I found myself not wanting to put it down. Would recommend!
