Lou feels more at home in the past than the present and when she realises the experience is real she sets out to do everything in her power to save her new friends. She passes between 1913 and 2013, unearthing plots of murder and blackmail, which she must stop no matter the cost. On her quest to save the Mandevilles by saving Thomas, Lou will face the hardest decision of her life. She will learn that love cannot be separated by a century.

A Truly Beautiful Love story!!!

I can't remember reading such a great book, Made me laugh and she's a few tears,

Lovely Story

I read a lot of time travel stories. This one was one of the best because it had a beautiful story. Langridge brought me into these people's lives and I loved every minute. When it was over, I wanted to just sit and think about the story and choices the characters made. I couldn't stop listening and, yet, wanted to draw it out at the end because I didn't want to leave the story behind.

It was a good story but...

The character development was weak. We never knew what Lou looked like. There was never a description of her. I need that so I can visualize the character. There wasn’t any character details of any of the people in the story that could present a picture in your mind. I found that very strange. Otherwise, I would have given glowing reviews. The narrator was pretty good overall, nice change between characters.

this is on no way a romance novel. after writer drags out the book she gives a cliff notes version of the end. I want my credit back

I loved the story!

The story was magical and took me away from the hum drum at times when I needed a break.

Wonderful Story and great narrator! Wish the author had more books to read! Going to give her other book a shot next!

I am 100% addicted!

Let me start by saying, I read/listen to A LOT of books. Like 2 or 3 a week. Out of all the books I read, only a select few have earned the right to be considered part of my top favorite reads (because who can pick only one?). I am 100% in love with this story. I was quickly invested in all the characters. The writing was so beautiful and so well put together. Nothing felt rushed or unanswered (except for those plots left to be discovered by the rest of the series - oh yes - this is book one of an entire series). I am so impressed with this author and I hope she keeps these amazing stories coming!

Surprised, pleased, and surprised again.

I’ve read so many books by now that I’m not surprised very often any more (70 years). But this book was a pleasant one. I could almost put myself in Lou’s shoes. I mourned with her and was angry with her and I cried with her. She’s a girl after my own heart. A must read for those with soft hearts who love history and romance and who dislike bad language and filth. I’ll be exploring this author in the future. ❤️

I loved this story. It brought me to tears. So much feeling. Romantic time travel, ahhh my heart.

A book that you just don’t want to stop listening to

I must admit that I chose this book only because I had become tired of the series I was listening to. I am so glad I did. This book is a beautiful story beautifully read. The characters came alive and you found yourself wanting everything to work out for the family. It has been a long time since a book could make me cry as well as think of the consequences of our actions and those of others on history. I would thoroughly recommend this book if you want something that is a bit out of the ordinary but will keep your interested to the end
