An old friend summons dashing linguistics professor Thomas Lourds to Jerusalem to examine an ancient text. But Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, also wants the same document. Khamenei and many others believe that the book contains a secret that will allow its owner to rule all of Islam and wage a Global Jihad the likes of which has never been seen before.

Arriving in Jerusalem, Lourds discovers that his friend has been murdered and his apartment ransacked. With the help of Miriam Abata, a beautiful Iranian-American Jewish graduate student, he races against the clock to seek the dangerous document: Lourds seeks to save civilization while his enemies hope to destroy it.

Continuing the New York Times best-selling series that includes The Atlantis Code and The Lucifer Code, The Temple Mount Code will appeal to listeners interested in history and treasure hunting in the Holy Land and is perfect for fans of Dan Brown, Brad Meltzer, James Rollins, and Steve Berry.

The professor is annoying but usually redeems himself by the end. The story (like the others in the series) is an interesting take on the possible motives behind recognizable historical events.

I enjoyed the book like the others in the series.

For any fans of Dan Brown and The DaVinci code and sort of like Indiana Jones or that type of genre this book will have you on the edge of your seat I personally did not care for some of the overly graphic descriptions of a torture of one of the characters also the subject matter with the subjects with their names being very similar to all the other names it is a little hard to keep track of what or who the character is between Muslim Islam Jewish; good or bad guys. however it was a good read or listen the narrator was very well talented with changing his voice for the characters but like I said earlier some of the names and the voices were very similar so it was hard to tell who was actually talking. On to the next book in the series.....

exciting adventurous Globetrotter

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Perhaps a little more history in the places visited would make it more interesting

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Absolutely - the plot and the locations change constantly

Would you listen to another book narrated by Jonathan Davis?

Probably

Do you think The Temple Mount Code needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

No - the story I complete

Any additional comments?

I am always amazed how the bad guys can fire AK-47's, rocket propelled grenades and have swarthy, big men ready to do evil, but the hero/heroine can knock off three guys (like in this story) with a hand held pistol with shots

Bullets are flying, many are dying

A reread that never gets old and another adventure in the books, literally. Well written, well portrayed, and lifelike

Captivating
