Fascinating tale!

What a priest finds him in a bit of a quandary as time goes by.

Good....Not Great

Poor Man's Dan Brown. I enjoyed it, but felt that Dan Brown books are the next level

Throughly entertaining

I love stories like this. Thought provoking and out there yes, but something to think on while being entertained.

Disappointed

The idea is good nut gar from original and the book lacks credibility in the storyline.

not as good as the da vinci code or

the expected one but comparable with mystery and intrigue and fits with my personal spiritual beliefs

lacked suspense

Narrator was good, story lacked suspense and subject matter could have been discussed in greater depth. I'm a big fan of Steve Berry so my expectations we're probably unrealistic as I was told that Mr. McAvoy's books were as in depth as Mr. Berry's. I disagree.

Well, I’m Hooked!

Just finished The Magdalen Deception, which I enjoyed both reading on Kindle and listening on Audible simultaneously. I’m so looking forward to it he second in the series.
Though raised in the Catholic Church, as an adult I didn’t practice my religion until the recent five years. My faith is secure; however I love reading the histories of all world religions and the possibilities presented when the work is fiction, but historically accurate.
The Catholic Church, though we believe it was started by Jesus Christ, is a human institution; thus, it suffers human foibles and has been WRONG at several times in the history of the world.
I’m looking forward to book 2 of the 3-book series.

Excellent Book

I truly enjoyed the substance and detail of this book. The author has certainly done extensive research to not only make it entertaining but share knowledge of the manuscripts and historical parts of history.

I have already told others about the book. On to the next!

Great Read!!

Definitely a page turner...a bit too wordy at times (sometimes less is better). I loved the characters and want more from them. How much of the research is true?? Wow, so much went on during the Holocaust...we will never know it all. Thank you to the author for keeping me wanting more!!

Took awhile to get into the story

It took me awhile to get into the story, especially since I was having trouble initially keeping track of the characters but then it grabbed my attention and I wanted to follow it through till the end. The narration was fairly good not monotonous. There are many historical references that I looked up and verified but the main story line I had a problem with as a Christian. The book reads like a Dan Brown novel with conjecture thrown in with factual events and places. I really liked the main characters and some of the side characters. If I really like an audible book, I will wait awhile and listen again while I am waiting for my next credit. I will not listen to this one again. T
