Fell in love with Vincent!

I loved The Striker and the enemies to friends relationship between Asher and Vincent, in the first book. But, because of Vincent’s hatred towards Asher for most of the book, I often found Vincent off-putting. Well, that totally changed with The Defender. Now, I love Vincent and how fiercely he loved and took care of Brooklyn. Because I was’t Vincent’s biggest fan throughout the course of the first book, I wasn’t expecting to enjoy this book as much as I did. I’ve had this book since it came out, but just finally read it. Needless to say, I was not disappointed in the least. I’m just sad I didn’t read it sooner. And I can’t wait to see what Noah and Carina get up to in the next book!

Wonderful

This, like all Ana Huang books, was a fantastic love story. It had drama, push and pull between characters, and a romance for the ages.
The narrators did a phenomenal job and fit the characters perfectly.

So good!

I have not stopped listening to this book! Brooklyn is fun and spunky and just trying to find her way. Vincent is captain of England’s premiere football team and definitely cocky but you know what they say about opposites attracting it makes for a delicious book add and it’s her best friend‘s brother and it gets even better.

Love this series

Well narrated and great story. I read all her books. I enjoyed learning about footballers.

Fighting the attraction always sucks a reader in

This was better than I anticipated. When I read the striker I did Not like Vincent’s character at all. I’m glad I didnt Let that opinion taint me reading this one because it was enjoyable. I loved The suspense in this story and the the relationship between Brooklyn and Vincent was so fun to read. I was Convinced I knew Who the villain was and was totally fooled when it was revealed.

The banter and push and pull between Brooklyn and Vincent made the story! They both fought their attraction for so long it was almost comical. I felt So much for Brooklyn and her family dynamic. She always felt so unwanted and finally found someone who made her world theirs. She needed that. The story was great and it truly set up the keeper well. I cannot Wait for that story now that I know who the FMC will be. It seems like it’ll be a wild ride!
