LOVED IT!!!!

I loved everything about this book. I loved her first book, and could not wait to read her next book when it came out and it did NOT disappoint! I have a feeling this is one I’ll come back to in the future to listen to again. Wonderful dual storyline and character development. It makes me want to travel even more than I already do.

Easy to listen to

The story was interesting but not a must listen. I did like the premise and characters.

Very Good Book

This book kept me driving around the block several times. Awesome listening. You will not be disappointed.

Interesting enough to finish with some interesting stories but a bit flat

TLDR - this is really not a solid 4 star for me but I rounded up. If you loved The Lost Bookshop, this one might pique your interest—but temper your expectations. While it carries a similar whimsical tone and fairy tale charm, it ultimately feels a bit predictable and lacking in depth.

I picked this up after finishing The Lost Bookshop, and while I adored that book and its enchanting writing style, this one didn’t quite hit the same mark for me. It still offers a whimsical world with some darker undertones, and I really appreciated how the author wove historic tales of “the good people” into a modern setting. But overall, the story felt a bit flat and uninspired. The plot was interesting enough to keep me reading, but it lacked the emotional pull and richness I was hoping for. A pleasant read, just not a standout.

Side note - the audiobook took a little getting used to but is well read and pretty good

Had me guessing. I didn’t want it to end.

I really thought Oren’s grandfather was going to be Anna’s youngest brother but the time was too far apart. The story was a pleasure to listen too albeit frustrating at times. Kept me listening. I would love to hear more books by this author Audible has two.
