Very moving!!

I loved how this book weaves together the two time periods seamlessly. It is such a great book!

The heritage down the generations. Character from different time lines. Pleasant listening and entertaining.

I liked both the eras and how it collided, it was the WW2 scenes that dragged me in though

enjoyed the audible version. there were a few surprises that enriched the main story line. There is so much we will never know of what was endured. thank you.

Never forgotten

I enjoyed the linking of the past & current by the author as well as understanding what it could have been like in Paris during WWII. I thought the narration was well done and supported the time switches as sometimes when this type of book is listened to it can be confusing. The book provides some balance of very dark and better times.

The vivid descriptions of Paris

I enjoyed it all- would not change a line! The ending was perfect! The events were so authentic.

Captivating story and narration. I highly recommend for those who love historical fiction! Ranks right up there with Kristen Hannah, in my opinion.

Love books with two timelines that come together

Both storylines kept me interested and I loved how the characters evolved. I am kind of missing them

Love, Heart Wrenching and History

I absolutely love this book. I love historical fiction and this was wonderful. It brought tears and joy. I do go into the research side to read more about the atrocities by Hitlers 3rd Reik. My almost 10 year old Granddaughter has been listening as well and is totally disgusted by what she learns about the way the Nazis treatment of the Jewish people, especially the innocent children. History has been kicked to the curb and these books are helping bring these things back to light.

I wish more people understood WHY these statues and pieces of history are important because if they are taken away questions cannot be asked by the next generation. Questions such as who is this and why they were immortalized and what did they do that was good bad or otherwise. Put up a monument next to it telling the other side of that historical story and help the younger generation understand.
