Really good listen. 4.5 ⭐️'s

Really enjoyed the characters and story. Love that the turmoil (which was quite tame) was outside of their relationship and it just made them stronger together. While I don't necessarily believe it deserves 5 ⭐️'s, I would say it's a solid 4.5.

Will probably listen again when I'm in a book slump.

Very predictable, just like a good romance novel should be.

The story was supremely silly and predictable, but the performance was quite compelling. It was like eating a big bowl of popcorn.

One of the best book I have listened to in quite sometime. The narrator was phenomenal. Great Writing!

Narrator did a good job

I think the narrator did a good job by using 2 different tones in the book to make each character stand out. I overall liked the book, wish there was a little more angst/debate over getting together initially. Vance’s character was did overthink things in a whiny/annoying way but I did like the book.

Now, this is how you do Friends to Lovers.
The narrator knows what he's doing. You never have to wonder whos talking. He killed it. I want to listen to more books narrated by Alexander Amado. After this book, he became one of my favorites.
I loved this book. I mean I already knew I would considering that I read it 3x before the audiobook was released. This is a comfort read. A book that I run to when I can't find anything else to read.
The audiobook made the characters come to life which made the experience all the better. I can see myself listening to this book a lot throughout the years.
I am so excited for the next book in the series to drop.

Scorching friends-to-lovers romance

J.R. Gray is a new author to me and Alexander Amado is a new performer for me. This was one of the best books in this trope that I've listened to in a long time...so good that I have already purchased the 2nd book in this series. It had the right amount of angst and the sexual tension was performed spot on by Amado. I think I read in a previous review that that someone had the best orgasms ever....I got a kick out of that....but I can definitely understand where they were cumming from....😂 bad pun, I know! 🙊 It kinda dragged for me at the end so it's not a perfect score

4 stars - I am highly likely to listen again.

Love Harden & Vance

Another great book by JR Gray. Vance & Harden are best friends & on the swim team together. This book is told from Vance's perspective. Vance is still a virgin but desperately doesn't want to be. That's where Harden comes into the picture. I absolutely adored this bi for you, forbidden, best friends to lovers story. Harden & Vance struggled as most teenagers who are coming to grips with their sexuality do. But I'm so happy they got their HEA in the end! Alexander Amado is a new to mer narrator. He did an excellent job narrating.
