Loved Everything!!

This is definitely a slow burn but in a good way. The narrator did an amazing job. A must listen.

Really impressed!!

For a new author, Rebecca did a fantastic job weaving the intricate details of this story. I appreciate the effort she put into creating this magical world. The story itself is well-written, and the narration is excellent!! There is smut, but it isn’t used as a space filler. There is magic, love, betrayal, plot twists, and one hell of a cliffhanger. I am impatiently awaiting book 2!!

Great blind buy

Great plot. Nice mix of romance with a small bit of spice. Nice focus on the magic system and suspense.

That ending!

Pleasantly surprised, couldn’t put the book down. Really enjoyed the action packed and fast pace of this story, and the characters were very relatable…politics and twist and turns through out but that ending! Can’t wait for book 2.

Action with emotions!

It moved like a train! Good action and intrigue. Enjoyable banter between the primary couple leading to slow burn.

A masterpiece of slowburn

I devoured this book in less than 2 days! Reid is my new favorite book husband. Thank God this is a duology & the rest of the story will be released in the next year or so. The MFC was so relatable to someone like myself who’s endured a lot of pain and trauma. I found this story deeply moving and healing.

Perfect romantasy

a romantacy where the female main character is bad**s loved her personality. Loved the slow burn romance and the banter. The plot twists had me shook. The mmc was perfect in my opinion. I can’t wait for book 2!! Only thing I didn’t love was the voice for Reid it sounded like a old man and was hard to get used to

Wholesome MC, we need more of these!

I loved this book, but personally not a fan of over dramatic thoughts in the MC’s head. This author has a flare for the dramatic, and it just irks me when the MC drolls on and on about “but this! But that! But this!”, which certainly happens a lot in this book. Can’t wait for the next one, though.

The gripping story, the inflection of the audio. OMG

I have zero complaints. Pain, denial, hope, have never been portrayed so accurately. And the inflection where it's needed will grip you the entire story. Darkness, magic, slow burn, love, respect. Just winderful. No spoilers, but I need more!
