FANTASTIC.

I loved it!! what a story!! the characters are deep, the story is complex, the narration perfect.
please make it into a movie! both books were wonderful. now I have to read all of her work while I wait to see if she will write more for saylok!!

Loved the newer Characters and the older ones too. Like the insight of the other side of the orginal story and reliving the first story in bits & pieces.

The author brought us to The God's ,to the people that captivated me.

Loved the 2 main characters. Good/different perspective of the same story in the first book. I hope there is a sequel story of the daughter female warrior

Even though you could read this without having read the other story of Bear & Alba, have read their story first does make this even better! I adore these characters and their richness (:

Fabulous Sequel

I loved The First Girl Child and was excited to see this continuation of the tale. It does not disappoint. Harmon has done a stellar job with character development and plot detail, bringing this book to life. Perfect narration makes the characters and plot dance before my eyes. Outstanding; the complete package, making it a joy to listen. I do not read a lot of mythology or Norse Legend material. But this pulled me in beautifully.

Great Book

I loved this retelling of the first book in the series from the perspective of different characters. It gives the story more depth, because we know that in life there are many different perspectives based on your position/role/experience from a sungle event. Fabulous writing and characters. I didn't mind the overlap of some events. It made it more believable. I am a huge Amy Harmon fan!

Ok

Excellent narration, soothing voice. The story was ok but it didn’t stand out for me. There were a lot of character’s who were named over and over but who didn’t have much build up so it was just like listening to a list of names for me. Since I hadn’t heard a story to give me a connection to these characters, it felt like fill and maybe that’s because they will show up later in the series but I only found this one book that I thought was listed as a trilogy. I listened through twice looking for connection but really didn’t get much other than the story of Guisla and Hoag. I understood that this was book 2 and I didn’t read book one so that might have been part of the problem but if a book can’t stand on its own, it isn’t really a book.

Story told from different perspectives than the first one. Hod is blind but he is the hero. Full of action and relationships. Good listen.
