The lakes residents take this as an ominous warning that a mini ice age might be a possibility because of the odd space weather occurring. Christmas plans are put on hold as everyone starts to jealously hoard the supplies they need to get through the worst winter anyone can remember. Instead of a season of joy and sharing to look forward to, a season of austerity and foreboding awaits our survivors.

Great addition to the story
I just love this series, I learn so much about prepping and survival listening to Ron Fosters books.I certainly was not expecting a second coronal mass ejection from a solar storm but its scientificaly possible
