Brace Yourself

This book was amazing! Just as good as the first one! It was enthralling and an overall mysterious feel as if the next step they took could have been off a cliff. But on the other hand the narrator was'nt as good with some of the characters, they just sounded either shrill or dopey or flat or all three. I would consider buying this as a real book but since Jesse spoke as Percy most of the time it was'nt the worst. Great book and the audiobook is good if your hands are busy. If you have time I would try to read the book. Just one warning, have the next book ready to read right away!

This book was a fun story to listen to and the story was so interesting I felt like I could see the hole story write there in my head overall this book was awesome ❤️💚💜💙💛💗❤️

The great saga continues

I've read most of Rick's books - hearing them read gives helps you discover them all over again. I'm taking a chronological journey again and will listen to them all in the order they were released.

This book was pretty good

This book is great for people looking for fantasy, mystery and action. Though if I had to recommend a book, this would not be my first option because I have read better books such as keeper Of The Lost Cities.

Action packed

What did you love best about The Sea of Monsters?

I love how dedicated the characters in this story are. They have each others when needed most, even though some of them are the antagonists in the story.

What did you like best about this story?

I love how exciting this story line is. The mix between adventure, Greek mythology, and the relationship among friends has you on the edge of your chair listening to what happens.

What about Jesse Bernstein’s performance did you like?

Jesse's performance was fine. He does different voices for the characters and he tries to relay the conflict the characters are having in his voice. He grows on you.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Clarisse is having a conversation with her dad, it is sad to think about how many people have similar conversations and how much the parent's negativity diminishes their dreams.

Very entertaining

My 9 year old grandson and 10 year old granddaughter very totally engrossed for an 8-hour round trip. They are both familiar with the author and series and it made traveling fun for them. I have to admit that this 60-year-old grandmother enjoyed it as well. We will get the next of the series next time we travel.
