A must!
Roald Dahl is one of my favorite authors of all time - since my 4th grade teacher read us James and the Giant Peach. His stories are packed full of vivid imagery, humor and powerful life lessons. And to hear the stories read by the author himself? Priceless. This is a must add to your library. It’s great for families, kids, or the young at heart. Something for everyone.

fun stories read by the author.
I always love when the story is read by the person who wrote the tale. I believe the Creator is the only person who really knows what was intended so I feel it's somehow more genuine. just how I feel.

Excellent abridged version of the classics!
Our young children loved these abridged versions. Just the right length. Dahl's performance of the books is excellent.

Great casual listen
I really enjoyed that these were read by the author. I first read these in grade school and I know they won't necessarily hold up as an adult they are still great little filler books to read in between the bigger books I read.

Children's classics.
Truly enjoyed listening to the classics, probably should have hired an actor or actress. But was still kind of cool to hear the authors actual voice.

Fires your imagination!
I have listened to two of the stories and enjoyed hearing the stories from Roald Dahl himself.
1. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
This book has you thinking about and imagining the chocolate that is described and also takes you into the world of the little boy who craves to be in the chocolate factory. It has something for everyone and also serves as a good example for children (since it does have some hidden lessons).
2. James and the Giant Peach
This story was enjoyable and takes you into a different world (the Giant Peach). I would think this story is very good for a child's imagination too.
