Love this book!

I have really enjoyed this series. It’s a great series for a family listen. I was a little annoyed by the cadence of the narrator at first, but I promptly forgot about that. It’s a great story with fun characters. There’s definitely a good combo of fantasy and humor.

Wonderful story.

The story/plot is fun, imaginative and enjoyable. Thoroughly enjoy Brandon Mull (Beyonders series is my favorite though!) My kids and I loved listening to this story together. The narrator's inflections were not how I would have read it so it was a little annoying and I didn't think the music after each chapter added to the book, would have preferred non.

the book is great the Narration is Horrible

The book series is worth 100 stars. It's so fun to read. But the narrator is not so good in this book. If you can suffer through this book, books 2-5 are Amazingly better. Trust me I was really surprised how much improved book 2 was. Again the series is great

Love the story, frustrated by the narration...

It's a YA fiction novel, I get it, but I still felt like the narrator was reading to four-year olds. I have read these books in print and was so looking forward to listening to them, but the simplistic over exaggeration of some words just was enough to make me not want to listen to the rest.

So much fun

This is a very well done book and I’m very excited to listen to book 2 and the voice acting was so good it had great emotion and really told you what these characters were saying and how they said it overall very good
