Like no other!

This “Zombpoc” is like no other I’ve read, and I’ve read dozens.
The characters are great to follow along with and there’s always a tiny cliffhanger as you go along. Can’t wait for the next installment.
Most books from this genre are chock full of gore and this offers something so different. Survival and hope, blended in with terror and the raw exposure of human nature.

WOW!

The narration was stupendous. The words paint a picture of things you don't want to imagine but can't help but to see. The character interactions had me cringing, crying out and laughing. Since I listen during my commute I'm sure I looked the fool as I couldn't help but react physically to some of the scenarios. Once again, Tim and L.T have created a world I cannot wait to re-visit!

Tense, thrilling apocalyptic series

This is a great post-apocalyptic zombie survival series! I usually stick to authors that I know because I hate bad writing, so it took some convincing for me to try these new authors I had never heard of. I'm so glad I gave them a chance! I love their books and it's really cool how prolific they are, because I regularly have a new book to read. This series is deeply disturbing, complex, scary, exciting - everything you want in a story about the end of the world. I love the characters, and I love seeing them develop over time. This series has kept me up late on many nights already and I'm looking forward to more sleepless nights with them. I've started listening to the audio books now after already reading the books, and I love the narrators and the experience of getting the story in this format! And I'm getting more out of the story that I missed on my first reading. Great series!

The beginning of a new world

These four books are the beginnings of a series of that tells the story of people rebuilding after an apocalyptic world. I really enjoy this wonderful series that takes us through the confusion and pain of people dealing with different stages of this disaster. We see and feel the emotions of different characters as this begins, a mother not wanting to infect her family, a father struggling to try to find a save place for his son's to live and hide during while he is dying. Most of all we hope with people learning to adjust to a new world. One where you don't know who you can trust anymore. And the strange new worlds we start building to reclaim our humanity.

Really Excellent!

So, I've been with this series since the beginning, as I was also a fan of this team's Awake In The Dark Kindle series. I LOVED the original narration by the authors, but this omnibus is NEXT LEVEL stuff. I am usually not a fan of authors narrating their own works, but I liked this team. Christopher brought it up to a LOVE! It's a slow burn, but if you can stick with it, it's worth it. S&D is a HUGE universe waiting to collide. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this omnibus, even revisited!

Fun audible version.

I have read the books. Listening to the audible to catch up before the next book comes out. The audible adds a level of expression that is not available when reading it yourself. It is almost like meeting the characters for the first time again. I am really enjoying listening to the story again from the beginning.

Fantastic!

This audiobook has the power to draw you in so deep in fact that you'll feel like your right there with bag head and the rest of the gang. I love how it goes from character to character story to story it feels like several books in one just fabulous in my opinion could not stop listening.

Christopher Boucher makes this audible live

This story caught me from the beginning. The characters seem like just everyday people. There aren't any superheroics or overly made up personalities. Regular people with regular reactions in a very irregular world. A world where bad people do good things and good people do bad things to survive sometimes.

The formatting style of the book is a bit off putting until you get the hang of how it works. One chapter will be like 25 days before, then the next could be nine years after. Literally. Eventually you understand the flow, though, and when you do it's smooth sailing. In addition to time jumping, you are moving between characters. This lends to another bit of confusion until mastered. When you get all this untangled, you understand and appreciate the time and talent it took to create it. But it is different and difficult in the beginning, so be forewarned.

I was so glad to have this as a set. Though each book can be read alone, personally I was wanting more. Even at the end of the last book.

On a normal day, I am not a big fan of audio books. I have issue with most narrators. There's usually something that's a bit off each time I've tried one. But huge kudos go out to Christopher Boucher. I thoroughly enjoyed this man's narrating style. In my opinion, he gave the book enhanced feeling, character, believability and even some refinement. He didn't over-act but did put in changes in voice, accent, and personality. He enunciated clearly and precisely, but never clipped or chopped. And being in the southern United States, I give him extra points for not butchering our accent and slang. He is thus far, the best narrator I've ever heard.

I believe you will really enjoy this set of books. 37 1/2 hours is a long time, but well worth it. Reading would have been a pleasure... and possibly simpler to figure out the layout... but you really need to hear this read aloud by Christopher Boucher.

Absolutely outstanding series!!!

I love this series of books! The authors have found the perfect combination between zombies, post apocalyptic all novel. The characters are rich and engaging I can not recommend this book highly enough! The only thing that would change about this performance is I have previously read books 0.5 and book one. Tim and LT narrated them. I found the authenticity of their narration to be excellent and I hope that they continue to narrate the series.

The Best End of the World Ever

The first four books follow a series of people in their journey before, during and after the end of the world. Their struggles, joys, sadness, happiness, disasters and achievements along with more than a few zombies for good measure.
The books follow several characters in different locations throughout the United States as they live through an apocalypse, a virus has wiped out the majority of the population with a significant number returning from the dead to become flesh eating zombies, one bite and you are guaranteed to join their number.
We meet Decker, who is watching it all mapped from his window afraid to speak the woman in the apartment over the hall; Travis who saw things he can’t un-see and is blotting it all out; Erin and Izzy, two young orphans trying to survive alone; Mitch with a hard task he doesn’t know that he can complete; Ray a con man trying to lead an honest life; to name but a few.
The books were brilliantly read and I for one can’t wait for the next instalment of The Scattered and the Dead.
Give it a listen, I don’t think you’ll regret it.
