Publisher's Summary

Rich boys don't fraternize with the help.
They don't fall in love with the help.
They don't risk everything for the help.

We know what we're up against now. Who we're up against. But if he holds all the cards, the truth hardly matters.

The kings of Linwood want me to run. They want me far away from here, where I'll be safe.

I won't go, though. I refuse to leave my mom behind, and the four boys who've each claimed a piece of my heart won't let me face this threat on my own.

They swear they'll do whatever it takes to end this. To keep me safe.

Since we won't back down, fighting is our only option.

But I've played poker long enough to know that sometimes when you risk everything...

You lose everything.

Author's note: The Risk is a reverse harem high school bully romance, the final book in the Kings of Linwood Academy trilogy. It contains cursing and sexual situations.

Unexpected surprise

I went into this series with some hesitation having read some bad bully books in the past. I was pleased with this one. There was a lot of depth to the characters and their particular situations. The complex relationship worked through the writing of this book. That's tough to accomplish so kudos to the author. I'll be reading more of her stuff.

Good ending 🎧🎧AudiobookObsessionReviewer 🎧🎧

The story unfolded well. It kept me interested until the very end. The twists made the series worthwhile. It was more of a suspense novel than a romance novel IMO. But I think fans of either genre will like this series. The narration was great again. I would recommend the series.

What an ending! Definitely going to relisten ❤️

I think Callie Rose has definitely forced her way into my automatic check-out list for new releases! I have devoured both her bully romances and loved them so much (finishing up her PNR next!). I thought the writing in this one was amazing (I still think I loved book 2 the best though, not saying this one was bad or anything). Some things you could guess were going to happen but some things were still a surprise which is nice to see in these type of stories that can become so repetitive. I wont give away any spoilers, but I think the twins increased on my book boyfriend list in this world haha. I liked that we got to see them/witness interactions between Harlow and them individually because in the other 2 books it was hard to remember which was which. I liked that Callie gave us more there. I also love how these boys rallied around Harlow and were really there for her when she needed them most. They didn't dismiss her or leave her out of things. Also, happy it ended the way it did, with someone having a sorta heart before his ending and people believed the group when they told their side of the story. I am kinda hoping for some check-ins with the crew, because I want to see Harlow's mom find love after what she went through. I hope these guys maaaaybe meet up with some west coast group (hint hint hint) or at least maybe with some friends that go off to college away from their hometown haha. Highly, highly, highly recommend this series. I liked the bullying was way less than Callie's other series and the guys got onboard way faster. Lead to some real butterfly and aww moments (and also steaming off the charts moments 🔥🔥🔥).

Now I couldn't give Amanda a 5/5 on this one because I am not a fan of how she depicted Harlow upset/scared/shocked. I mean, there are times to be whiney and crying out, but some of them were not necessary. When you are shocked, you don't always cry out in your head. She made her feel less of a strong character in those moments, which kinda took me out of the book for a bit. The rest of the time, and with the other voices, she was phenomenal. I think this one had a lot of potential to be a homerun on all fronts, but the narration sometimes wasn't 100% there for me. Definitely will be listening to her again and would recommend her to everyone. Just giving honest feedback in case people read this ❤️

Great Conclusion!

This is the third book in the Kings of Linwood Academy a Reverse Harem High School Bully Romance. The story continues where the second book ended. I loved to follow Harlow and the guys, Lincoln, River, Dax and Chase in their suspenseful journey. Their chemistry is strong and sizzling. The mystery unfolds at a great pace. This is the perfect conclusion to this amazing Series. If you love bully romance, this Series is for you. Amanda Stribling did a great job with the narration. I enjoyed this Series! #AudiobookObsession

Amanda did what she could

Harlow and the guys know exactly who the bad guy is but not how ot stop him. The judge is always more than one step ahead of them at every turn. But Harlow is willing to risk almost anything to save her mom. Just, not her guys.

This book was a better conclusion than I was expecting after the second book. The twists were good although there were still some common sense moves they skipped that drove me crazy. I liked the guys a lot but overall Harlow is not my favorite female. She was a cancer survivor, a poker ace, so why did she lose her cool so quickly? The damsel in distress routine got old especially when the female doesn't seem to realize her weaknesses. I would have liked her to use that quick brain and to not panic each scene. Still worth the read for my gray-eyed boy.

I have been critical of Amanda Stribling in the previous books of this series but I think she did all she could in this final book. She couldn't make Harlow calmer or level headed. She was hysterical throughout the book and Amanda portrayed that accurately. #AudiobookObsessionReviewer

OMWOW!!

Callie Rose is my new absolute favorite Author. I am not totally sure how she comes up with the storylines of these books, but they are absolutely amazing. All 3 books in 3 whole days. I listened every minute I was awake.

Book 3: I just can’t even. I just can’t...You will absolutely never see the twist and turns coming while reading this book. All I can say is read them now. And I think I need to find me 4 boyfriends. 😂😂

Harlow & Her Kings💕💘💕Fantastic Series & Narration🎧

I loved this series, it captivated me from start to end. Callie Rose is a talented author with a creative mind, she knows how to grab her readers and/or listeners attention and hold it hostage until the very end. “The Risk” is the final book of her “Kings of Linwood Academy” series, by now we are well acquainted with the lead characters, Harlow and her Kings, Lincoln, River, Dax and Chase. Their relationship and bonds continue to strengthen as they work together to uncover and solve Iris’s murder. Holy moly, the plot thickens and they find themselves getting in deep, unsure if they can dig themselves out of it. I loved out everything plays out, the twists and turns, who to trust, who not to. Callie Rose, thank you for this amazing series and the epic conclusion.

I listened to the Audible edition, narrated by the talented Amanda Stribling, she is a fantastic voice performer and an entertaining storyteller. She brings the characters to life, giving each their own voice and personality, as well as heart and attitude. She sets the perfect tone for the story, adds a dramatic touch which enhanced the story & series to another level of greatness. Thank you for another great listen, it is always a pleasure to listen to your work/performance.

The Risk

This was a fitting conclusion to Harlow's story. The twists and turns that happened in this book did the story justice. The narrator did a good job with portraying the emotions of the characters.

What an ending to an amazing series

The Kings will do anything to protect Harlow at this point. Harlow is determined to save her mother and the Kings are running right beside her. Their devotion is stronger than any highschool romance I have ever known. These kids are wiser beyond their years, but the corruption goes so deep, they may not be able to save Harlow's mom in time. THis is a perfect finale to the drama that has surrounded Harlow. The suspense is een more intense than the other two books. I was once again hooked and could not stop listening until the end. I devoured this series in two days. I am sad it is over, but I loved the ending. It was just getting there that had me on the edge of my seat.

Amanda Stirling is stellar in this narration. There are so many moving pieces and Amanda narrates each one flawlessly. Amanda created a movie in my mind. Her narration added to the experience of this series. I loved that it was a consistent narrator. I cannot wait to hear more from Amanda Stirling.

Worth the Risk

I've discovered the killer, slept with all the boys, what's next? Risking our lives to free my mom. Discovering the killer was the easy part, trying to find the information to feel my mom might cost everyone their lives. The best one in the series and how deep the boys go for Harlow is crazy.

Beautiful Ending!

Harlow has been beside herself with grief. Somebody has murdered a girl she didn't get along with at her school and framed her mother. While trying to find the truth, she stumbles upon the real killer, putting herself and her four boys in danger. She must decide whether to continue trying to free her mother or let it go and keep her and those she loves alive. I really enjoyed this book. I loved the entire trilogy. I didn't love it at first, but I stuck with it and wound up falling in love about halfway through the first book. I'm so glad I stuck with it. It got so much better. I loved how everything came together very neatly in the end. But the author definitely kept me on edge to up to the very end! I really loved how connected I felt to Harlow. She is just this strong-willed and passionate young lady. She knew what she wanted, but she also cared about what others wanted as well. She tried to stay strong, but she was able to admit her weaknesses. Her four boys were pretty amazing too. Once one got through their exterior walls. I'm sad that I'm done with the trilogy and won't' read about these again. I'd of loved to see more with her mom and her best friend. I was very impressed with Amanda Stribling. Not only in this book but the entire trilogy. It was like she pulled the emotions from the characters out and claimed them as her own. Especially where Harlow was concerned. I loved it. It's a quality that I love seeing with narrators. I love the life that narrators can bring to books. It helps me enjoy reading when I can't actually read. I really did love this book. I loved the entire trilogy. I recommend reading the entire trilogy in order. It is definitely not one that can be read out of order. I also want to warn that it will catch a reader in their feels. There were parts in the book where my heart was beating so hard! I can't even begin to explain it. I was as afraid as Harlow. I'm sure of it!

The Risk

The Risk was a great way to end this captivating series. There were a lot of twists and turns mixed in with all that danger and suspense. I had never heard of Callie Rose before listening to this series but I will certainly be watching out for other books written by her. Amanda Stribling did a wonderful job bringing this story to life.

Epic conclusion

Wow this was very much the epic ending I wanted after listening to one and two. I said it for book 2 and I'll say it again, I totally get why their is so much hype about this series. Its 100% deserves it! If you are going to listen to a highschool Rh series this is the one. Callie Rose just put her foot in this one and she did an awesome job picking a narrator to compliment it. If you want something that you can sink into I'd recommend this one.

A great conclusion to a must read trilogy...

The Risk is the epic conclusion to this amazing trilogy by Callie Rose. It’s crazy for me to think that I didn’t know about this author just a few months ago and now I’ve just finished my sixth book by her. And I’m desperate for more. She’s that good. This book had so much going on that I didn’t want to put it down. Even with having a huge mystery unraveled at the end of book two, there was still so much to uncover in this one as well. And there was the relationship between Harlow and her guys to develop. And her mother to save. It was all done perfectly.

Amanda Stribling was great again in this final story of the series. I am really happy to have been introduced to her work but since this series is the first thing I’ve heard her in, I’m very interested to hear her in something else. Either way I know this won’t be my last book from her.

Oh how I love Harlow and her boys

The Risk is book three in the Kings of Linwood Academy by Callie Rose and is narrated by Amanda Stribling. Before I listened to this series, I was completely against high school romances, like I loved them when I was in high school, but I have struggled to read them as an actual adult. If you are like me, then this series (and Callie Rose’s other 2 as well) just might change your mind, as it certainly did for me. The story isn’t just about sex, or about the romance between 1 special girl and her loyal boys either (Yes, I said boys as in plural), it has an actual plot with character growth. The story itself has just enough suspense and twists and turns to both pull you in and also frustrate you at the same time. The best part about the whole package though is the narration by Amanda Stribling. She became Harlow and my heart ached with her as she navigated her blooming relationship and her mother’s wrongful incarceration. From start to finish, she took me on a journey, so much so that hours would pass, and I wouldn’t even notice. The epilogue was stellar too, I smiled so much at the thought of Harlow and her boys finally getting their well-earned HEA.

Kudos to Callie Rose and Amanda Stribling for that awesome journey. This is one I will definitely read again soon. AudiobookObsessionReviewer🎧
