I am in the rising, stepping forward, learning to speak my truth and stand on my story phase of healing and awakening and this book is an affirming instruction manual on steps I’ve taken, and guide for the ones I’m yet to arrive at and a radical permission slip to continue shedding all that hasn’t served me. This book would also be ridiculously powerful for any woman whose life is in the beginning or middle stages of the collapses that lead us towards transformation. A genuine revelation of life and love.

I am very touched by Danette May as she literally peeled herself layer by layer in an attempt to communicate to others how we can all conquer ourselves by self love. Rise is a big word in a world full of chaos. Either we get swallowed up by the mud or believe that there is clarity and power in our life but first we must be honest enough to admit our truths. Thank you, Danette May. Definitely a must read for people who are just coasting along or simply clueless where to start. The first time I heard anything from Danette was on Lori Harder's "Earn Your Happy" podcast. Her words touched my soul deeply! The Rise, is just as captivating! Her story is very similar to mine- we grew up in the same state, same religion, both divorced, both experiencing life changing circumstances. I could not put this book down.... infact, I'm starting it for the second time. I highly recommend her book.
