Publisher's Summary

The Foxes are a fractured mess, but their latest disaster might be the miracle they've always needed to come together as a team. The one person standing in their way is Andrew, and the only one who can break through his personal barriers is Neil.

Except Andrew doesn't give up anything for free, and Neil is terrible at trusting anyone but himself. The two don't have much time to come to terms with their situation before outside forces start tearing them apart. Riko is intent on destroying Neil's fragile new life, and the Foxes have just become collateral damage.

Neil's days are numbered, but he's learning the hard way to go down fighting for what he believes in, and Neil believes in Andrew even if Andrew won't believe in himself.

Heads up

i really enjoyed this story but i don't see any of the reviews give trigger warnings so I'll do the honors. Beware of graphic depictions of rape, abuse and torture.

Excellent story. Excellent narration.

I couldn't stop thinking about this book. I adored the first one. This one is even better. I suspect that this is going to be the "Empire Strikes Back" of the series. You can't appreciate it without the other books, but this is insanely action packed and tension filled. We start to get a better understanding of certain character's motivations, in particular, Andrew. Things go from bad to really bad, but no one is backing down. I am listening to the next book immediately!

needs a good editor

from my understanding this trilogy was self published, and it really shows. there is a lot of confusing narration and things a good editor could definitely have helped smooth over

Super good

I love this series and I’m so excited to get the next book. I think how the narrator reads it is pretty good, but not the best it could be. However, I could be biased because I prefer reading the book myself over audiobook.

A great book but goodness

It was an amazing story but this was so much more harsh than the first book. He said No not I’m fine and that is so important.

This is my favorite series.

The narrating is fantastic! The story is beautiful. Out of the three books in this series, this second one is probably my favorite. Watching Neil find peace in his family is breathtaking. I love it so much! This review was written on my 4th reread, I'm a total sucker for troubled people learning to trust and love. I'm having such a blast rereading!

I wish I skipped this book

There should be a trigger warning. I was not ready for the rape scene neither all the abuse. There was also still no romance. and the story still felt uneventful although so much happened. And for some reason it was so so so repetitive. Especially in the first chapters. I haven't felt so silly since reading picture books. They re introduced all the characters constantly and it felt like this was a stand alone book instead the second part of a trilogy. Like If the first book did not matter at all. In my opinion this book should not exist. This whole trilogy could be just a single book. It feels so episodic and so much like a sick fanfiction. I finished within a day. Up until the rape scene the book was fine. After that it because too overwhelming. I wish I'd never read it. I'm so sure that the next one will recup everything that happened in the previous ones anyway. like the writer does not trust their readers to remember. I feel sick to my stomach. Do not read this unless you are over 18. Too much drama for no reason. So sick. The performance and writing somewhat improved though. But it was unforgivably repetitive.

great series

I read the All For The Game series first before I one clicked all the audible versions to listen to as well. I've really enjoyed listening to this narrator in some of his other work, which is mainly why I ended up one-clicking this series to listen to as well. He does a great job with the story, I really enjoyed listening to him across books 1 & 2. However - some of the voices for all the different characters did start to sound really similar, confusing me a few times as to which character I was listening to in that particular moment. Other than that I loved it.

Amazing story, ok voice

As a great fan of this series, I was so excited to see the first two on audible! The story always hits me right in the gut- it’s raw and powerful, dark and driving. It tells stories that people would often rather not hear. In terms of the voice actor, he has a beautifully crisp voice, however a lot of the characters sound the same. I found it very difficult to differentiate between them, even though I know the words from reading them on the page. He also voiced them like surfer dudes, which feels off but perhaps that’s an agreed upon style? So that critique is more a personal preference. Overall, I listened to these books in long sittings, and kept coming back regardless of the narrator. I’m excited for the final one!
