Publisher's summary

Doing well with money isn’t necessarily about what you know. It’s about how you behave. And behavior is hard to teach, even to really smart people.

Money - investing, personal finance, and business decisions - is typically taught as a math-based field, where data and formulas tell us exactly what to do. But in the real world people don’t make financial decisions on a spreadsheet. They make them at the dinner table, or in a meeting room, where personal history, your own unique view of the world, ego, pride, marketing, and odd incentives are scrambled together.

In The Psychology of Money, award-winning author Morgan Housel shares 19 short stories exploring the strange ways people think about money and teaches you how to make better sense of one of life’s most important topics.

Excelent Reflexion on our Society

I started a instropected trip and stumbled with this book. It has a clear and low registered language in our economics and how it had been affected by the inconsistent level of economy.
Interesting and easy to read.

Great Book—Will listen again

I am surprised by how many people didn’t find this book amazing. It’s short, easy to listen to, and I learned a lot from it. The author doesn’t lecture, just lay out the facts and psychology behind our financial moves. Consumerism worked for the US economy in the past, but will not in the future as time and environment are different. With QE and low savings rate, the economy is going to the road of peril that needs great people to bring us back on track.
The performer was good enough and very clear in speech, and just like listening to a friend talking. Only thing is the recording is not great so you hear the pausing and the throat clearing.

Wish I had this years ago-sent it to my daughters.

Incredible book. Sent it to my daughters. This book is life changing. Surprisingly simple, clear minded, easy to understand overview on what is an emotionally(!) driven series of events that can make your life all the easier or more difficult. Please please please listen. Wish I had it years ago. Would have saved me a few fortunes.

One of the best books on money

This was one of the most thoughtful books I have listened to about money. Morgan brought a unique perspective with very engaging stories to exemplify the lessons. As a fan of Market Foolery, I was great to hear Chris narration. Absolute recommend!
